Alongside the "Good Times" thread what is everyones top 5 memories of the Pitmen? Mine would be: 1995 - Winning the Beazer Homes League I think I was 8 at this point and saw us win the league in only my second game. ![]() 1996/1997 - The FA Cup Run I remember hunting for conkers at the game against Wednesfield, showing how bored I was with the game... to being generally shocked when we didn't beat Middlesbrough after taking the lead! These were particularly good memories as pretty much all my friends from school came to all of the games. ![]() ![]() 2003/2004 - FA Trophy Win Probably our proudest moment, taking the biggest cup prize in non-league football. I also remember reading a post on the old, old, old message board where somebody, who had missed the first 5 minutes of the second half queing for food, was delighted with our stroll-in-the-park 3-0 demolition of soon to be Conference side Canvey Island. ![]() ![]() 2004/2005 - Promotion to the Conference North Couldn't find a picture for this one, but the the play-off's were a particularly good memory, especially when we won a penalty shoot out! Shame we couldn't replicate that win over Chippenham last season. 2008-2009 - Birmingham Senior Cup Win Probably our best team since the one we had in the Conference, with Tyrone Barnett and Ross Draper now playing in the football league. Although we didn't gain promotion, winning the Birmingham Senior Cup against Stourbridge was a particularly good memory. ![]() ![]() Other ones that didn't make the list would be the games against Telford a few years ago seeing both clubs setting attendance records, beating Hull City live on MOTD, finishing 3rd in our first year of the conference, some of our performance under Dean Edwards, and then this win against Stafford Rangers: ![]() So I guess is the moral of this thread it let's bring these good times back! I would agree with pretty much all of the above as in our lifetime supporting Hednesford we have certainly experienced an up and down ride! Will list mine when I have more time. |

I would add the 10-0 defeat of Coventry Sporting to win the WMPL in 1978 but I'm much older than you lads.
