To be honest I have never been so livid to lose a game after today. I took solace in the car and counted very slowly to ten before my mood was improved somewhat by Zigic's last minute winner at St Andrews.

I feel genuinely robbed. We were the better side in the first half, Davidson had an absolute stormer but we should have made our possession count.

The second half was more even but the three goals came from us nodding off in one way or another. It was a cool finish for their third goal though.

Not the end of the world with Leamington losing but Rob and Larry will earn their money picking the players up for Tuesday and more importantly in terms of league points a now massive game against Chesham next Saturday.

Turning over Stafford in their backyard on Tuesday would be a nice tonic....

It was indeed disappointing to throw away the points but that is what we did yesterday. The positives we can take from the game?
1. We were the better side
2. A great Darren Campion free kick and another good goal for Kyle Patterson
3. A fine Ross Davidson performance
The negatives?
1. Should at least have got a share of the points after being twice in front.
2. 'Unprofessional' in some of our defending that led to the second and third goals for Cambridge.
3. Red card for Kyle Patterson after the end of the game will rob us of an important in-form player for key matches.
The players were definitely disappointed at the result but will bounce back quickly as there is great belief and determination in the squad at present. I see yesterday as only a minor setback against our ultimate goal for this season of promotion via the play offs.
Next two league games are massive now though!

I'm usually quite philosophical about losing games but we didn't deserve that yesterday. Cambridge had the best of the first 10-15 minutes and the rest of the half belonged to us- good free kick from Campion for the goal.
Started the second half by conceding a penalty- no arguments but regained the lead with a great strike from Patterson. They equalised when a blatant foul on Clements wasn't given, Patterson booked for his protests and got the winner when we fell asleep although he did finish nicely.
Some of the football we played yesterday was the best I've seen this season and I still can't believe we've come away with nothing. Patterson was excellent (can't comment on his red card as I was on my way to Wetherspoons as soon as the final whistle went) and Davidson had his best game for us- my M-O-M.
I reckon this play off business won't be sorted till the last day of the season.
Oh and whoever wrote the NLP report, apart from Rob Smith's comments it was bulls*it.

done so well in the last few weeks not to let in goals must of been an off day for the defence, nice to see us still scoring

I reckon 71 points will be enough to sneak into the play-offs which means 28 points from 15 games for us. given our (relatively easy - tempting fate!) run-in we stand a good chance. the next 3 games are probably the toughest we will play - thereafter it's teams in the bottom half - mainly at home
