Each Issue takes place over a one week period of in-game time; the time difference between Issue #1 and Issue #2 would therefore be a month our time (maximum- two weeks for players to write their response, and two weeks for the GM to post an issue) and two weeks in-game time. Player and GM responses should only include important information; we don't need to know when they went shopping of what they have for breakfast, but we do need to know if they've solved any crimes or fought any villains. NPC interactions NPC interactions occur via Skype or PM between a GM and the player. The choice is up to players- just message the GM beforehand so that they know you want a conversation. Alternatively, issues may state that an interaction is required between a player and a NPC, in which case they will contact you. If the player wants to include an NPC of their own (such as a minor character or a character's family member), then they should PM the conversation for review from a GM. Do not do this for situations where an interaction is requested by the GM, or with characters who are included on the NPC list. Once the conversation is done, the player may not modify what has and hasn't happened. However, they may choose to not include some information in the conversation, or word things differently so that they are more reader-friendly. Player interactions Player interactions take place in the Player Interaction section of the forum. Players here take it in turns to update their actions, with the GM acting as a moderator. Players will be informed just before the Issue in question is released that they will be affected by the same event- unless it is an all player event- so that they may arrange times to do the interactions. In the case of all-player interactions, the deadline for Issues will be increased and players will have time to progress as needed. GMs will be expected to monitor such events carefully, to ensure no overlaps take place. The GM will also be the one to post the combined update of all players for that Issue, putting it into a readable manner. Player-Player Fights PVP fights will occur in a different way to NVP fights, seeing as multiple players will be involved. For these fights, the players involved will take part in the Arena, where they can fight as needed. The GM's job in the Arena is to call hits and lethal blows, as well as to announce any changes that occur/any issues caused by the actions of players (such as ignoring injuries or attacking and hitting in a way that their character couldn't). These events will require organisation from all players involved, and it is requested that players please try to be active for these events. If needed, a session can be organised in which players can go through the entire thing in one go with the GM, either in the Arena or on Skype. Once events between players are done, one player will use the outcome for their issue update. The other player will then continue their update without including the fight information. NPC Tiers Differing NPCs have different tiers of writing importance, which will be written next to their profiles ASAP. Characters can switch tiers, and if they do switch tiers players will be notified. Alpha Tier characters can only be written for by a GM. Beta Tier characters can be written for by players if they send the piece to a GM beforehand for review. Gamma Tier characters can be written for by players and GMs, as their importance is low. |
