I usually avoid Introduction Threads on forums because I'd rather everyone see for themselves who they think I am based on what I post elsewhere, but hey! This post could contain some important information! So I'm Zoe (pronounced like Joe but with a Z), and if you spot me on campus I usually look grumpy! Don't mind me, I'm just thinking about how far behind I am in my class readings (among other things)! Hoorah! I'm big on characters, just started roleplaying online again to get back into the writing zone (thanks to this awesome club), though I've relearned how mind-numbing one-liners, prolific typos, and a lack of effort are to me! Why do I RP with people younger than me? Why???? Anywho, I love to draw, and prefer to attach myself to one of my characters for a very long time, so don't expect me to have use more than one character on this board for a while. One of my favorite concepts in this world is roleplaying, but I like to take time with my posts, which can be problematic because then I...disappear in the process. I'll try not to let that happen. JRPG's are the best, yes? I must say, I look forward to these club meetings more than a lot of other things! I can't always make it, but I have a blast whenever I do! Um, I think that's it for now, before I start rambling. Overall, I'm very slow, love characters, have very few writing samples if any at all, and I enjoy drawing! Oh, and having fun of course! D&D 3.5 is where I need to be, so that my werewolf dream can come true. ;( Until then...

Hello Zoe! JRPG's are awesome. In many ways they are the best. Generally in story and characters. In game mechanics it... varies. Final Fantasy is my favorite series of all time though, and VII was my first game ever. I was always hesitant at the prospect of roleplaying online. The part that I enjoy the most about RP is that it's a social experience where you talk to real people in real life. I think doing it online takes away a lot of the appeal for me. Please do share some of your drawings! |

Ammar, thank you for your insight! Huh, so you were one of the kids who played FF7 when it first arrived in the U.S.? Interesting, I still haven't played it. The Pokemon series snatched me up when I was younger, and then Dragon Warrior. Now I'll play any RPG when I have time (that includes visual novels and text-based RPG's, etc.), especially the ones I have to spend long hours searching for (if I can). I agree, gameplay styles vary. I prefer menu-based fighting (I guess that's what it's called). Playing D&D last Saturday, I can say I definitely agree on how great the real-life experience of RP offline is. But hey, I never took the time to find a group of people to RP with IRL. The internet is just so much more convenient. But all I can think about is our next D&D session...I spent hours fixing Zharili's character sheet- Speaking of her, you'll see what she looks like, sooner than later! For I will share drawings, yes! (And I commissioned Evan for a picture too, so maybe that will make its way here as well.) |

I wish I was talented enough at drawing to draw my own character. But alas. Does this mean we're also going to get to see what Vleikar, DEVOURER OF WORLDS! looks like as well? I'm excited now. |

@ Ammar: Possibly. His majesty is difficult to match on mere paper. Hey Zoe, I have your drawing done, btw. I can scan and e-mail it to you, and then get the original to you after Spring Break.

@Ammar You gotta start sometime, and practice, man! And I don't want to tell anyone how to do things, but don't be a clone! Do your own thing, with your own style. Of course it's good to aim for things that one finds enjoyable or uber, but the general you is the best at being the general you! I can't complete this thought in a reasonable word count so I'll stop right there. But I have been waiting to see how you envision Gavar (possible spelling errors). I often see him with a witch's hat and starry wizard's robes. If I'm wrong about his choice in clothing, only you can remedy this. @Evan Oh yes, please do, send! I'm in a drawing slump right now myself, and I'd like to see nice things. |

Ha! I'd expect that sort of clothing from a wizard. Gavar is no mere wizard. He's a sorcerer, and don't you forget it! I can try to draw him. But I don't have any real experience with drawing. I skipped all the art classes in high school for more foreign language and music credits. I know: heresy. |

Aah! I shall not make that mistake again! I've seen those Fireballs in action! Oh wow, definitely different. I had to bother people to get into an art class, lol. Eh, taking more foreign language courses sounds like a better idea, I drew in every class regardless. Still, I wanna see Gavar! Build up your experience! Join an Artisan's guild! Worship Dendar the Night Serpent! Only draw the most ghastly visions your soul can conjure so that she may... |

Wait what? How is worshiping a demonic snake who wants to eat the sun supposed to make me good at drawing? |

Don't ask me, ask her! Once you've been initiated as one her loyal followers of course. And change your class to Warlock. This isn't a ploy to acquire more followers for Dendar, no, it isn't. But the skills of a master artist and more will be yours! You just have to believe! |
