Pre-ordered Shogun 2: Total War.

Excited.

Hopefully, there will be an expansion or DLC where you invade Korea. If there is, I will succeed where Tokugawa failed. And save the world from K-pop. Forever.

Japan already occupied Korea though.

And it's a shame they still don't.

But many Korean bands have entered the Japanese market to great success. Kpop is pretty much inevitable, either way. Hell, there's even Chinese pop and they're communists.

I like to imagine a world where the fascists won.

A world without any K-pop, J-pop, or C-pop.

I really hope that Shogun 2 demo was just a beta demo. To be completely honest, it was bad. Like...real bad. That site said I could run it on minimum settings, but minimum settings looked like fucking Deer Hunter I used to play on Windows 95. And the camera control was just out of whack. I felt like I literally had no control over where the camera looked. Idk if I'll waste my money on this one, Kyle.

Yeah, I heard Shogun 2 is gonna be really different in terms of interface. Apparently, instead of playing as an omnipresent controller of empires, you're directly playing as the faction leader. For realism or something. IDK.

Just stick with the turn-based world map, bro. In the last multiplayer campaigns, all battles were automated, so it'll probably be the same here.

Turn based? This wasn't turn based...
In the demo, the only options to choose were tutorial and historic battles. And tutorials are for the birds.

Pretty sure the tutorial would have gone through the map. I still do tutorials, despite being a Total War veteran, just to see what new mechanics they've added.

Also historic battles are supposed to be difficult as shit. Lemme tell ya, I was more than proud for getting a close victory in Rome's historic battles, close victories entailing that you pretty much got raped without actually losing.

I honestly hope the diplomatic AI is better in this one.

Back in Rome and Medieval II, factions wouldn't capitulate even if they had no units and only one city. Empire was just HURR DURR GIFF ME ALL UR GOLD. Napoleon was better with both of this, but still some rough spots.

Also combat AI too. I've had whole units of English cavalry just watch as I fire cannon balls at the unit next to them in Empire (Though admittedly that saved my ass).

I'm also wondering if they're putting Kensei units back into this one. I'd hope not, for historical accuracies sake, but it's not a big deal if they do. No, a big deal is turning Ptolemaic Egypt into Pharoaic Egypt. (smirk)

My brother told me that when he gets the 3DS, he's going to give me his DSi XL. Hell yeah. What's a shame, is that I probably won't love it as much as I should after seeing that 3DS. But I'm sure he won't mind letting me play that.

THIS IS SOMETHING I LOOK FORWARD TO.
