Yeah, still at it here.

Taking a break from my main line of Nuzlocke (last I left off, I'm still grinding everyone to take on Steven in Emerald) just to start up a Nuzlocke mode for laughs. Only this time, I feel like taking it to high gear.

=========================Nightmarelocke=========================

Playing this on Leaf Green version. Looking at the flowchart now, these are the rules that shall be applied:

- On fainting, a pokemon shall be released (basic)
- Catch the first unique pokemon in an area (if I've encountered it in the wild before but missed it, no dice)
- No eggs (playing on Leaf Green anyway)
- Battle style on set
- Only one heal per area that lets me heal (applying this to places such as that rest area in Silph Co. and I'm also applying the PC in the day care center)
- - Also means that if I want to swap out between the team and PC, the pokemon on my team must either be fully healed to the PP or dead. Nothing in between.
- One pokeball per mart, at the lowest level possible
- No legends
- No putting anyone in the day care center

Well, certainly can't take chances here. Let's start off with...Bulbasaur. Type advantages vs. the first few gyms, and poison immunity. Let's do this.

Well, too late to stop me now.

- Remy the naughty (pah) Bulbasaur has been chosen.
- First battle, and Jackass goes down. Thank goodness for the automatic heal, too.
- Parcel delivered, time to catch a team.
- Route 1 catch: cool, a jolly Pidgey. Jump in, Garet. Sand-attack spam time.
- Bought a few potions to add on to the three potions I already had. A few antidotes and a paralysis heal will help, too. Also, crossing Viridian off the list for pokeballs.

Speaking of Nuzlocke, my body Gray did a few of the nuzlocke fan comics [I think he did Blue first, and is in the middle of doing Sapphire??]

Probably hasn't updated Sapphire in a while, he's doing a new project called SCUD the Disposable Assassin.

- Route 2 catch: going here first in case of a Ratatta incident. Oh, a sassy Weedle. Not entirely helpful considering that Jackass still has a Charmander, but whatever. Jill (the drill) has joined the team.
- Oh, also realized how helpful Remy's Leech Seed is going to be in a bit, though it sucks that it has only 10 PP. And that everyone only gives out crappy amounts of HP.
- Route 22 catch: MANKEY (also jolly). Who thankfully stayed in the ball after leering at Remy twice, which could've killed him. Whew. Well, Lucy's aboard as well. Man, I'm really tempted to use either the Pallet healing spot at this point (Pallet because you never know, I could run out of antidotes at some point in the forest, and I need a quick pickup).
- Speaking of route 22, doubting I should go up against Jackass here. A Pidgey (with keen eye) and Charmander are not good news for Remy, let alone everyone else, who are also rather injured from trying to catch them to begin with. Man, I REALLY better get a Geodude in Mt. Moon.
- Back to the present, I felt like I was running out of options, having almost maxed out the money I had on potions and other small items, so I used up Pallet's healing opportunity. Go me...
- But hey, at least Lucy knows low kick, which should come in handy when grinding up my other guys in the fields of normal-types.

If you win, there needs to be a comic.

I back the comic idea. I enjoy them all. Even the terrible ones.

asdf Fine.
I just need a pencil, some paper (though a Wacom is certainly a good substitute for the first two), and some time away from all the other distractions. Oh, and a paper scanner if I'm not getting a Wacom.

If there's going to be a comic, it's definitely starting with my old successful FireRed run.

Feh. I've been trying to do that on Paintbrush (mac-style MS paint), but I'm only a few minutes into it, and it's clearly tested my patience.

Hand-drawing it is. Otherwise, back to business.

- Viridian Forest catch: asdf, a Metapod. Who proceeded to break the only pokeballs I had left. Whatever, bastard. I already have a bug with me anyway. So as a revenge plan, I hereby deem all cocoon pokemon to be training fodder. Though it would be nice if they showed up more often as compared to their pre-evolutions.
- Still keeping Remy in front, because a wild Pikachu could ruin my shit at any time, as rare as they are...
- Grinding in the woods...seeding all the cocoons...switching out to help everyone else gain exp...everyone else is at lv. 7, Jill is a Kakuna, Remy knows vine whip...still haven't used Viridian's pokemon center yet...
- ...until now at least. Turns out grinding is something that shouldn't be taken lightly in this set of rules. Also, still don't feel ready to take on my rival. So the only way to go now is Pewter City.
- Aw, that sucks, Brock. I didn't even need Remy. Lucy low kick-swept her way through Brock's two pokemon.
- Now. The first time I went through route 3, it was tough trying to keep everyone alive. Back to grinding on route 2 for a bit, I guess.

- Alright, Jill is now in top-shelf form of Beedrill. These bug catchers are dead as shit now as long as I evade the other guys for now. Sneaking around them, Sam Fisher style.
- Route 3 catch: Pidgey...no...Spearow...eh...but it turns out Garet had to go all out with a critical hit. Great, so both times I've been through here in a Nuzlocke, both catches were failed due to a critical hit.
- Mt. Moon catch: YES, a (docile) Geodude. At a decent lv. 9, too. Finally, a counter for that Charmander, provided he can hold out with his rather crummy special defense. Fuck you, Zubats. Catch successful after using up the last two pokeballs I had. Phew. Welcome aboard, Oswin. Now everyone else on route 3 is dead as shit.
- Backtracked all the way back to route 22 to test-fire Oswin against Jackass. Great success with rock throw.
- Now off to go through Mt. Moon...hey, a star piece. And my first ether. AND Remy evolved.Badass.
- Grinding for a bit. Trying to use every last PP to level up everyone that's capable (too bad Jill ran out, and she's the lowest level...), then healing them. Speaking of which, I still haven't used up Pewter's healing opportunity yet. Better save that for after I clear out Mt. Moon.
