- Actually, forget it. Using Pewter City's healing center...now. - Also turns out Oswin's a poison magnet. Good thing I have some antidotes. - Swiped the Helix fossil. Omastar is slightly more defensive than Kabutops, and also has better attack power with Surf. This one better have Shell Armor, too. - Backtracking and again to use up the Mt. Moon base Pokemon center, while grinding for a bit more. Because I'm not wasting Cerulean's center on taking on Nugget Bridge. - Route 4 catch: already, I can tell it won't be interesting, not to mention that the only Pokeball I have now is the one I bought from Cerulean...Spearow...no...oh, never mind, a Sandshrew (despite that it's lv. 6). Oh wait, he escaped the pokeball. Crap. - Taking on Jackass again. Oh christ, his Charmander knows Metal Claw. However, Oswin survived the hits and got off a Magnitude in time (with the help of a few potions). Jill took out his other two by setting up against Abra before taking it down, then taking down Ratatta. - Still on Nugget Bridge and routes 24 & 25, Oswin almost died again thanks to some Nidorans double kicking him. Then he got poisoned and survived again. Geez, he's had it worse than Rasputin already... - Cool, by the time I got to Bill's cabin, Garet also evolved. |

- Vermillion City catch: using the old rod I recently got, along with my bike. Yep. A (brave) Magikarp. Considering her a filler until I can get another water-type. Isadora has filled the last open spot in my team. - Vs. Misty: used Cerulean City's center to heal everyone before the fight. Feh. Remy took both of her Pokemon down easy (in detail, all out against Staryu, whittling down vs. Starmie). - Battling it out and leveling everyone up on the cruise, using that one room that lets me heal later before I take on Jackass. - Route 11 catch: a-ha, an adamant (dammit) Drowzee (the only unique Pokemon that would pop up). And I have two great balls I found laying around. Braid (named after the guy who coined the term hypnotism) is the first to go in the box. - While leveling up Isadora, Oswin evolved first. Dang, look at that defense. Some more grinding later, Isadora evolves as well. Now I have a proper rival-main-counter. Speaking of rival, using the quick fix on board the SS Anne, and we're ready to beat his ass. - Vs. Jackass: crap, his Charmeleon ignited Isadora, and there aren't any burn heals in stock yet. At least Oswin could handle everyone else, despite Kadabra being a dick with Kinesis. Off to face Surge now. - Did I mention that there was a sailor on board who says he likes feisty little kids? - Vs. Surge: there really aren't enough double teams in the world that can save him when his Pikachu and Raichu are poisoned AND seeded. GUTTER TRASH. Rundown time: In team: Remy, the naughty Ivysaur, lv. 25 Oswin, the docile Graveler, lv. 27 (hehe, oops) Garet, the jolly Pidgeotto, lv. 22 Lucy, the jolly Mankey, lv. 22 Jill, the sassy Beedrill, lv. 22 Isadora, the brave Gyrados, lv. 21 In box: Braid, the adamant Drowzee, lv. 13 The dead: (no one yet) Edited by Teletypist, Dec 22 2010, 07:25 PM.

- Eugh, time to brave Diglett Tunnel just for an HM I'll only use for one single area...better take this slow and steady while keeping Garet up front. - Diglett's Cave catch: yep. A (modest? What the crap?) Diglett. Dana here can probably fill in for Oswin should something disastrous happen. Also, (I think) she learns Earthquake on her own. Only problem now is that I'm out of catching balls. - Off to Rock Tunnel, not searching the grass just yet. But oh - Used the Rock Tunnel base center to also swap Oswin with Braid for the time being so I can get through Rock Tunnel. - Rock Tunnel catch: whoops, an Onix, and I don't even have pokeballs. Oh well, I still have Oswin. - Skipped ahead to Celadon to swipe the (brave) Eevee, because none of the game corner prizes don't seem effective or interesting enough, aside from Pinsir. In any case, I'll evolve him accordingly depending on what comes up later. But for now, Lionel can stay in the box. - So while breaking into the Rocket base, Lucy evolved, finally. She's the fastest on the team, too. And thank goodness for her other stat increments as well, because she barely survived (4 HP left) a self-destructing Koffing a bit further on in. - Vs. Giovanni, Remy trashed his first two, while Oswin walled out his Kangaskhan. Yeah, I certainly learned my lesson the first time from taking him on in a Nuzlocke run. - Gonna go ahead and use up Celadon's center, since about half my team is running out of PP on their better moves. - Vs. Erika: move along, nothing to see here. Garet raped everyone with wing attack & fly spam. - Route 10 catch: backtracked all the way back to find...a Voltorb. Okay. Igor joins the box. - But then I just decided to swap Jill for Lionel, then evolve Lionel into a Jolteon and teach him shock wave. - Sent Jackass packing again. Decided not to catch the Gastly that attacked me in the tower. Made the mistake of not going around the purified circle in the tower (didn't even see the path around it...). - Got the flute, but what I'm really hoping to do is get one of the Snorlax's into the master ball...first time I felt underleveled against the world when I entered the fighting dojo. However, Isadora had little problem thanks to her resistances. Took Jhun the (docile) Hitmonlee. He'll replace Lucy, I guess. Rocket stompfest time. - Oh fuck. Oh hell. Oswin is the first one to die. During a continuous rollout attack against a Rocket's Cubone which couldn't be stopped, the Cubone threw a Bonemarang at him, killing him. And I haven't even gotten to Koga yet...oh man... - Gonna go ahead and bring in Braid. At least he also has some kind of type advantage to Koga, along with somewhat reliable defenses, unlike Dana (Diglett). - Well, at least Remy evolved through all of this madness. |

- Braid evolved after much training. Only thing for him to do now is get on par with everyone else. Then I decided to wing it and... - Route 12 catch: the Snorlax blocking the path. Decided to ditch trying to get him into the master ball and got him in an ultra ball that I found instead. Jared (eh, was lacking creativity with names again) the gentle Snorlax (with thick fat. Cool) joins the box, and shall join the team later. - Safari Zone catch: oh shit, a Tauros. But figures, he fled. 0-3 for safari zones, now. And I wanted either a Rhyhorn or one of the Nidorans. And then a Chansey showed up. WHAAAAT - Route 15 catch: a Ditto. No thanks. - Route 13 catch: Bellsprout. Where's a damn Nidoran already? But then again, he's got similar typing to Remy and close enough moves and stats, so what the hell. Florina was caught. - Route 14 catch: Venonat. Already have something that's part bug and poison, thanks. - Well that blows everything. Guess I'll have to use Fuchsia's healing center to heal and change team members. Jared for Jhun, for one. |

- Alrighty, back in the saddle. With that, I'd like to add that Cycling Road is highly volatile with all the trainers and their Koffings and Weezings (cue balls have fighting types as well, which impedes Jared's training). Speaking of Jared, I got move tutors to teach him Rock Slide and Substitute. Charizard, beware. - Oh fucking hell, bikers. Remy tried to seed a Muk after getting screeched, then took a critical hit from a sludge attack. So now with Remy, my first guy dead, Florina (Bellsprout) will have to take over. - Quickly leveled her up and used a leaf stone, seeing as there's not much other reason to keep her in Weepinbell form. - Mini update, I'll edit this later. - Back at it. Garet evolved. A necessary move, seeing as his featherdance seems capable of powering down certain suicide bombers...but at this point, having Aerodactyl replace him has crossed my mind if I can get over the rigorous training process. - Welp, back to skillfully grinding before taking on Koga. When I'm ready, I'll use up Vermilion's pokemon center. - Actually, screw it. Gonna get more training in by finishing clearing out Team Rocket. Whatever, I used up Vermilion's center anyway. Okay, rival, whose name I forget. Jackass, that's right. Wasted him, picked up the Lapras, who I hereby deem to be named Faris. - But why stop with Jackass? I turned Giovanni into four kinds of fucked as well. Only question now is what the master ball will turn out to be useful on... Yeah, only really posting right now to let you know about the poll, that I've changed the topic title name, and that I'll continue on with Nuzlocke runs when I've got the time, motivation, and not the other distractions. - Used Lavender's healing center after grinding to take on Koga. - Put Braid on lead. Swept entire team with the help of having a reflect wall set up. He even survived what I feared the most: a self-destructing Koffing. - But again, why stop there? Sabrina's next. This time, Jared was put on lead, substitute-walling and smashing her team away. - Speaking of Aerodactyl from a post or so back, gotta swipe the old amber. - Sheesh, now I can finally go surfing. But before I do, I figured Florina has done her part, and swapped her out with Faris. Probably because Faris has Perish Song and is more defensively capable. - Route 19 catch: a Tentacool that's too underleveled to the point where even a pin missile could kill it. Whoops. - Seafoam Islands catch: oh snap, a Golbat. Finally caught something in a while, and I still haven't used my master ball yet. Oh well, it's not like I'm seeing much use for Trinity anyway. And since I wasn't planning on catching any legendaries anyway, I turned Articuno into a smoking crater with the help of Jared. - Landed at Cinnabar Island, gave the creepy scientist the old amber. Now to decide between still using Garet, or switching over to Aeroga, though switching would cost me the use of a pokemon center...also, fuck, he has a modest nature.
