i vaguely remember talking about skrillex (it's so bad though omg how do people listen to that) it pleases me that you've accepted my squishyness. im far too fragile for harsh words and it breaks all of my gay everytime you say something hurtful. the pain is beyond any conceivable threshold. |

You talk shit on Skrillex all the time, but that's aight, different tastes. I know girl, don't worry, I'll be careful to tiptoe around the eggshells that are your delicate sensitivities. As for that list of titles..[redacted] you show me yours if I show you mine first? |

Favourite: Fallout:New Vegas: Good character creation, both visual and mechanical, well written characters and dialogue, good level progression through skills/perks, (Perks really make the difference.) Massive selection of perks.(And unlike the other Fallouts they actually work.) Huge weapon selection, accommodates many builds, Decent difficulty, especially with jsawyer mod, can be a diplomatic character throughout, branching quests, multiple endings, etc etc. Voice work is great too. Not to mention highly moddable, graphics being the best candidate. Fallout: Great character costumization, perk selection and stats make a massive difference in how you play the game, a character with 1 in a stat behaves just like you'd expect them to, great dialogue and writing, good story, Great voice overs for the talking heads, [redacted] Perlman, [redacted] Jay, [redacted] Cummings, Keith David, etc. Fallout 2: Like Fallout, more content, a bit less cohesive, longer game, I like Fallout better but Fallout 2 has more going for it. Arcanum: Lots of backgrounds to choose from, which play like Traits in Fallout, steampunk fantasy setting, race selection with racial traits, good stat/skill progression, c&c and lots of player agency, good game overall. Like Fallouts better, but still good. Others that are al'right are DAO: Has good creation and levelling, but the story is cliche fight the big bad guy, it's still okay in my book. Fable series had some good ideas, really liked the dynamic appearance changes in the game, but ultimately not anything I'd write home about. Skyrim was okay, but all of your characters feel the same at the end of the game, and the game itself if a bit shallow, I suppose to accommodate the open world. Planescape torment is good, but pre determined PCs..and especially completely unrelatable ones, world and companions being in the same vein, kind of bring it down for me. Still a great game in it's own right. You already know my thoughts on Wasteland, will expand on 2 as things progress, right now it's awaiting updates. That's all I've got right now. |

Also good idea moving this thread, but I think you could have just split it in half and sent the video game posts alone, because tigers and shiet. |

i didnt move anything Fav list (none of which will be shooters because i tend to avoid them, i may also add a few mmorpgs because why not): Monster Hunter: Start this shit with a jrpg (smirk). There's not much character creation or even any leveling system that effects stats (though there is a hunter rank), I'm a huge fan of the franchise. What it lacks in character improvement it certainly makes up for it in equipment upgrades/forging. The creature designs are immaculate and some very clever. The environments are all very well thought out and put together. The game overall is just very entertaining and enjoyable even more so with friends <3 "Hey, dude, help me kill this blind fleshy poison spitting leviathan like 7 times so i can make some pimp armor" this is truly what friends are for. I can see myself playing the constant release of new installments pretty much forever. Path of Exile: No character creation whatsoever, BUT, you start off as a blank slate and basically build your character from the ground up gaining experience slaying various living/undead beings. You are giving this MASSIVE skill tree with which you use to become several different classes with several different specializations. I've only been playing for just about a month on and off, but so far it's been enjoyable. Similar to Diablo but after playing a while it's pretty easy to see it's it's own game. NeverWinter: Character creation is implemented (though in my opinion it's not very awe inspiring), race traits, and partners are a thing (basically battle capable pets you level and give equipment). Controls are smooth and preferable, I wish a lot of other games used the same. Heavily story quest driven but everytime i play i learn something new about the game and like it a bit more. Honorable mentions DOA Wizardry Online: Permadeath. If you die you're dead (unless you can make it back to a specified place in the dungeon within the given time while also avoiding Death himself). Thats really the only thing it offers aside from decent graphics and a very cute class of what i'd like to think is a hobbit lol. Kept my interest or a while. Skyrim Fable thats fine for now |

Huh, did I seriously make a thread about a tiger video in video games? *shrug* Welp, let's get to it: Posted Image DL told me about Monster Hunter, didn't bother with it because he has really shit taste in games. But from what you describe it sounds like something worth trying, which one is best?(Preferably non handheld version because I detest tiny screens.) Trying path of exile, mostly because it's free. As for Neverwinter and Wizardry, ironically those are games I wanted to play for a while, albeit the earlier titles, MMOs aint my thing.(Even if I have 50 [redacted]ion of them installed currently.) Are you exclusively into Fantasy? Since you list Skyrim I'd point out that Fallout: New Vegas is way better, on a similar engine. Hell, I'd say Fallout 3 is better, as an RPG at least, obviously theme is more subjective and Skyrim does probably have better combat, but still, RPGs yo. Anyhow, kind of funny that the games you mention don't really stand up to what you value, although it was the same for me. RPG is a strange genre in that unlike other genres it seems seems less realized. The perfect RPG would be a beautiful thing, I think RPGs can get away with feature bloat in a way that other genres can't, well, single player ones at least.. |

Monster Hunter is at LEAST worth a try. Most (if not all) fans of the franchise will say the hand held games are better, more specifically the installations on the PSP. I've been playing MH3 Ultimate though i've been kind of neglecting it for a month or so now (been trying out other games like Path of Exile). There's Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii, it's still enjoyable but i will say the handhelds still hold my ballot. Waiting until they release MH Online. The list doesn't completely please me, those are just the games i have recently played that have kept my interest. Yeah, i guess i am. never really thought about it lol, but yeh. I almost exclusively play fantasy games. I actually never paid Fallout any mind writing it off as another shooter, but i watched a few videos of gameplay yesterday (to try and get an idea of what it was exactly and why you liked the series so much) and it looked alright. I'd try it. most games dont sand up to what anyone values (not completely), theres always room for improvement. but you just kind of learn to deal with it. "this is what i'm stuck with, gotta make the best of it" |

:kirk: Also, Path of Exile is a fucking MMO? Jesus fuck, Wikipedia didn't mention that -_-. (I tried to make a character and it was like, someone is already named nigger, and I knew then that everything I thought was a lie.) Yeah man, it's definitely worth playing, as for being a shooter, it's possible to play that whole game through without shooting anyone, so, but still, the option is there, and the selection is awesome. If you do decide to play it you should post it in gaems so I can direct you to the bestest mods, game is solid on it's own but some things just don't fly.(Graphics, naturally.) Yeah true, but I feel like it's worse for RPGs, whereas other genres have solid titles, RPGs are always lacking, I mean, most of the biggest budget titles are hardly RPGs, and stuff like Skyrim often ranks #1 on lists about RPGs. Whereas solid RPGs suffer from being ridiculously old and usually bug ridden/unfinished. Would like to try MH, but fuck man, I hate handhelds, still disappointed that Starfox was remade on that instead of a proper console. :(( |

hahahaha path of exile made it in top 5, thats neat but yeah, path of exile doesn't feel like much of an mmo aside from seeing other players in town but they generally dont affect my gameplay. i haven't joined any parties or even spoken with anyone in game yet lol. i know they are there i just dont care to interact with 'em I thought the starfox thing was hilarious. was one of my fav games when i was younger. There needs to be a new release from the franchise based on the 64 gameplay. kids nowadays dont even know his origin. he's just that fox with the plane from those smash bros. games now |

Path of Exile I assume, that list is a joke, but then, there haven't really been too many great RPGs this yeah, but damn, having non RPGs is just said. Although the list might be skewed by some trolls who purposefully voted for non RPGs... |
