So I happen to have a Tarot deck based on the OoT and Majora's Mask characters. I am going to do a Tarot reading! Although as a disclaimer I am really and amateur at reading cards and I really only know what a few of them mean off the top of my head. I also know that tarot readings can vary in style and approach so I may do things strangely and differently than someone who is familiar with Tarot, because I am really an amateur. Typically how I do things is I explore all the things the cards could represent or mean or predict. In addition, the Legend of Tarot deck I am using has swords for fire and sticks for air. Some decks swords representing air and sticks for fire. It is just the way this is. Also you could probably go to a different source and find some differences between the meanings of the cards. I will mainly be using the booklet I got with this deck for my interpretations but I will also use knowledge from other sources and my own intuition in my interpretations. To me that is what is fun about Tarot is that interpretation depends on the Querent (fancy buzz word for the person for whom the cards are being read.) Most importantly this is really just for fun! And because I can! B) Also there will be pictures (I cannot promise great quality pictures) and I really want to show off this deck because it really is beautiful. |

Oh that sounds like a WONDERFUL deck! My husband taught me how to read Tarot awhile back. It's a pretty interesting storytelling mechanism. |

Today I am going to be doing a three card reading, with past present and future in relationship to this game. Past- > Queen of Ruppees: This is the cucco lady in Kakariko Village! The card reprsents a nurturing provider. I think it represents my relationship with both Epona and Volvagia as I may have implied I was a true newbie and they both jumped on the chance to offer advice and support. The fact that this shows up and that is what comes to mind could indicate that my relationships with those two with their sort of nurturing and providing nature could be important in the future. ![]() Present - > 2 of Bottles: This represents a need for cooperation. This is very true to my present situation. I am very much putting my faith and trust in both Ruto and Skull Kid. Twos can represent partnerships so it could indicate that the relationships that I am forming with Ruto and Skull Kid are very important. It is certain they are important right now, considering they are the ones who will decide whether I stay or go. I think this is a positive sign that my alliance with these two is good, at least for now. ![]() Future - > Page of Swords: I might have to get creative with this one... Face cards can often represent specific people in one's life, Pages in particular can represnt children or young people, but I do not know how that would apply in this situation. My booklet suggests that the Page of Swords is active and curious but can be overactive at times. This might mean that I should be active but careful how much I stand out. It also says Pages often carry messeges so it could represent an important message, (like a PM?). Obvoiusly since this is the future card, I can only guess as to what this one could represent. Perhaps the Page represents me and that I should/will be enthusiastic about this game in the future.

I am branching out and doing a 7 card reading this time! I am still in this game so I figured I might as well go for it! I made to merge so lets see what happens! B) I want to focus mostly on what I should do in this game and what direction I should take since I have a lot of alliances/friendships and I am uncertain as to how much I can trust everyone who is suggesting alliances and being all buddy buddy with me. 1) Past -> Queen of Bottles: I believe this image is of Lord Jabu-Jabu with Ruto sitting in the mouth holding the Zora Saphire. Ruto and my character shared a connection with Jabu-Jabu flavorwise. So maybe this is showing that past. The card also can represent a caretaker of sorts so it could represent my relationship with Epona or Volvagia as something that was in the past as I sort of manipulated them both into thinking I was new and they seemed to want to help me out in a caretaker way. Depending on some of the other cards I get I am interpreting this as either something that I should focus on going forward or something that should stay in the past and be left alone. ![]() 2) Now -> 6 of Rupees: This is the Astronomer in Majora's Mask. This card is all about generousity and sharing. So perhaps me sharing resources (like information) in this game could be helpful in the short term. ![]() 3) Future -> The Moon: Oddly enough the Moon Card depicts, well, Princess Ruto. It is very difficult to to comprehend that she could determine my future in this game. So what is the Moon card all about? It talks about cycles and the waxing and waning of onself. Perhaps in the future I will have to deal with a sense of loosing and/or gaining control, and not to take too much stock of either one as they might be part of a cycle. The card also suggests to trust my intuition and first instincts. ![]() 4) What to do -> Justice: I actually do not know what to make of this card. It represents, well, justice and the law of the land, and stuff that does not seem evidently relevant to this sort of game. It could also represent an authority figure, but I cannot think of an authority figure other than, like the mods. Which does not make much sense. Perhaps more will come clear in the future or as I reveal more cards? ![]() 5) External Influences -> Ace of Bottles: This card represents a boost of self esteem and healing. That sounds neat. I suppose I am still geting over a cold, so perhaps my getting better improves my situation. The description also mentions trusting instincts so that might synergize with the Moon in that regard. Although that is not exactly and external influence. Overall this is a good sign that my health and esteem might be a positive influence for me in this game and allow me to move even further in the game. That is also Lulu from Majora's Mask, not Ruto, just in case you think my deck seems to be stacked with Ruto images... ![]() 6) Hopes and Fears -> 5 of Rupees: That is our favorite gravedigger, Dampe. To be honest, I always seem to have trouble when I get to a "Hopes and Fears" type card, so I do not know how this will play out. This one represents financial upheaval. I suppose one thing the description also mentions is isolation and how the character is a hermit. That is something I would fear going forward, basically everyone turning their backs on me and me being all alone in this game. ![]() 7) Final Outcome -> 5 of Swords: It is the Archery lady in OoT. In this case this card is all about competition. So it means that the outcome is that I will have competed? I am not sure what to make of it actually. I am already competing and it is not suggesting this for what I should do, but rather how things will play out. One thing to note is that there is a horse in the card which may or may not be/represent Epona. So the final outcome might be a competition with Epona? Perhaps we make the F2! B) ![]() |
