There has been some SHOCKING news in the IBW-Verse today! As everyone who has seen COLLISION 76 knows, former CEO and principal owner of IBW CHARLIE SCHAFER was seen at the arena! No one has seen or heard from Charlie Schafer since he quietly stepped down from his position many months ago, but it seems that his good friend HARRY CROFT has sought him out. Charlie Schafer was delivered to the IBW arena by Harry Croft's good friend Jerry Valentino, who also helped Mr. Croft locate his good friend. We at RingSide Rumors were contacted to break this story, and one that strikes at the very heart of IBW. One that concerns IBW's current principal owner, MICHAEL STARK. Our interviewer Renee Mintz spoke with Mr. Schafer in a very revealing interview session, and one that reveals much. Read on after the break.

Mintz: Hello, Mr. Schafer. I hope you are doing well. I hear you have some very interesting things to tell me.

Schafer: Well I sure hope they're interesting, I can tell you that much. It's been awhile since I've been involved in the IBW fold.

Mintz: It certainly has been a long time since we last spoke. First, though, let me ask you why you left?

Schafer: That's a tough story to tell, Renee. I'm going to go back to the beginning, and I'm going to tell you about a shark named Michael Stark. Back when Heart of Wrestling 2015 was only a dream, I asked my friend Ayden Starr to speak with Stark the Shark. He was the winner of 2015's Supremacy Rumble, how could I not extend an olive branch? As much as I hate to admit it, the rumble winner was near vital for a successful HOW that sold tickets and created buzz.

At this point Schafer stopped, gazing into the distance and sipping at a glass of brandy on the end table next to him. He had brought the bottle with him, and seemed to hold it in high regard. Mintz cleared her throat, and Schafer was brought back into the moment, nodding.

Schafer: Ah, yes. Stark was back. And what a glorious day for IBW. His return and his promotional videos on IBW.com were revolutionary for views, ratings, and overall HOW buzz alike. Negative or positive, people were talking, tickets were selling, and IBW was growing. But it didn't stick. It turned sour. Stark, ever the businessman, started taking an interest in IBW politics. He suggested a man named Timmy Stevens to me, as a possible board member. I accepted. Stevens was a man of impeccable composure, and at that time he seemed like one of the best options out there. Unfortunately, it was not to last.

Mintz: Yes, but how does this pertain to your exit? Did something happen between you and Mr. Stark?

Schafer: You could say that, yeah. It was, oh, December maybe? I want to say December. Anyway, it was the close of a good year in IBW. Things were going well for us. My friend Harry Croft, IBW's current General Manager of Collision and Head of Creative, had taken over Collision duties while I became CEO of IBW and contended with other businessmen. Like, once again, Michael Shark. Oops, I mean Stark. Right. Anyway, he was becoming a bit power hungry. It was becoming clear in the way he looked at me. The way he acted. Different, compared to my times working with him before. And then, it happened. [Schafer snaps] Like that. Stark talks with Stevens, first. They're old buddies, and they have a good long "chat". Before I knew it, Stark walked away with Stevens' share of the company. Then, before long, Stark "chatted" with Sapphire Montgomery, the COO. He got her share of the company too. The dominoes were falling.

Mintz: But those were only the shares that he had access too, from his friends.

Schafer: Clever girl. Yes, those were only the shares of his friends. Sapphire thinks of him as the brother she never had. But Stark wasn't done. He went to me, first. Stark had been kind enough to donate to IBW events, and even my children's schooling in the past. He asked for a small portion of my shares, and like a {CENSORED}ing idiot, I agreed. That was where I went wrong. He went to Croft next, and asked for his shares. Croft refused, then heard how much I was apparently giving to Stark. I was giving him a very, very small portion. But Croft heard I was giving him almost half. Stark lied to Croft, then threatened to fire him if he didn't give up his portion. Croft, backed into a corner, agreed. Stark owned the majority of the shares. Suddenly, I was powerless in my own {CENSORED} company. He let me know of that fact. Then he gave me an ultimatum. I could either sell my shares for profit and die a millionaire, or he could make my life a living hell. I agreed to sell my shares. And he made my life a living hell anyway.

Mintz: So, what you're telling me is that Michael Stark used manipulation to get what he wanted? Which was full control of IBW?

Schafer: ...if you want to put it that way, yeah. And now he has it. It's a {CENSORED}ing vice grip on the company I helped build to where it is today. And the worst part is, he was a snake in the grass the whole time. He lied about the shares, and he lied to Croft, and he lied to me.

Mintz: Did Croft leave because his shares were sold, or did he leave because you left?

Schafer: Neither. Stark fired him anyway, and replaced him with James Parker so the locker room would like him.

Mintz: Why didn't you come forth earlier?

Schafer: The circumstances made it hard.

Mintz: Circumstances?

Schafer: Yes, circumstances.

Schafer sighed at this point, drinking the last of his glass and pouring himself another. This one he downed in one swig, before he sighed and looked very grim.

Schafer: Stark ruined me. I thought he'd have mercy, considering I gave in. But no. Stark had to make sure I'd never be heard from again. So he seized my property. It was IBW property at the time, and it probably still is. I was homeless, with children and a wife to take care of. But then he drove another nail into the coffin. That school my children went to, the one Stark oh so generously donated to? He used his donations as grounds for my children to fail. My children got held back a grade because of Stark's little agenda. And that... That was...

Schafer poured himself another glass, hands shaking. He was trying to maintain his composure.

Schafer: That was the last straw for my... My wife. That was it for her. She... She left me. She divorced me, and took over half of my money. That's what my millions did for me.

Schafer takes a drink from his glass, before taking a deep breath.

Schafer: Stark had to rub salt in the wound, though. He turned my former home into a dance studio for his {CENSORED}ing wife. MY house. And then he offered me a job there. The nerve, right? It was minimum wage. No, it might've been below minimum wage at the time. I don't know. But it was humiliating. I couldn't very well speak out against Stark. I would blame him for my troubles, right? Good old angel Stark. Never hurt a fly. I was the one who stepped down and let Stark take over, better blame all of my bad luck on Stark right? No. It wasn't bad luck. But Stark was the "good Samaritan". Stark donated to my children's school, Stark donated to IBW events, Stark made a dance studio for recreation in his community. Stark tried to offer me a job, to help me out, but I refused. Old, poor Schafer. Out of business, out of luck. That's my story, Renee.

Mintz: I... Thank you, Mr. Schafer. For telling me. I will make sure this gets out to the world.

Schafer: I'm sure. And please, call me Charlie. Mr. Schafer is just... I'm not him anymore. Stark has taken that from me.

Shocking things transpired, and none of them good. Is Mr. Stark really the businessman that Schafer would lead us to believe? We have reached out to Mr. Stark for comment, but we have yet to hear back from his representatives. More from RingSide Rumors will follow as the story develops.
