It's easy to be skilled, but it's impossible to be GIFTED
This is my third bottle of beer already, but I don't care anymore. I pour some in the cup and gulp it down. I told everyone I was gonna win, I was sure of that. I'm Mizo Nitro for goodness sake, I should've defeated her with ease, yet in the end, I failed. The match ended in a no-contest, something which I never expected at all. I look like a joke now, I shouldn't have let that happen, I shouldn't have failed. I trained hard and I stayed up late to work on my skills, and all of that was gone down the drain.

I pour myself another cup. Nah, I think I'll just drink from the bottle...

It's funny isn't it? The fact that I mocked James about him losing to a 'rookie', turns out that she isn't a normal rookie after all. Reminds me of myself in the beginning of my OBW career, everyone thought that I was just some guy who would fade into obscurity, but I proved them wrong. And she...she proved ME wrong. Can you believe that? I, Mizo Nitro, was proven wrong (something that most people have failed to do) by a f*cking rookie. James is probably re-watching the match and laughing his ass out, and he has every right to do so. You know why? Because Mizo Freaking Nitro was proven wrong....by a rookie. I look at the three bottles of beer lying on the floor. Alcohol is a blessing, it's a way of escaping real life. When you're drunk, you usually stop thinking about stuff that make you furious...but why am I still thinking about it? Why can't I just let it go and move on?

I close my eyes and I picture James sitting comfortably in his mansion, laughing about the fact that...that I was proven wrong by a rookie. I'm not gonna let that son of a bitch get the best of me. I will defeat him. I WILL DEFEAT HIM.

But isn't that the same thing you said when the match between you and Nika was announced, Mizo? You were so confident about it but in the end, you were proven wrong. Who said Parker can't prove you wrong, too. You need to win, Mizo. You need this more than anyone else. You need to prove that you still have 'it'.

But what if I lose? What am I going to do next? Am I going to chase less prestigious titles like the one Trent's holding? Those belts are not on my level, I'm a world championship material. I am destined to be a world champion, THE world champion. I still can't believe it, though. Shouldn't it be a one on one between James and I? Nika shouldn't have been inserted into the match to begin with, she doesn't deserve it.

I'm about to drink another bottle of beer...

"Stop drinking. This is your fourth bottle already." Dave snatches it away from my hand. I swear to God, that guy makes me angry every time he talks. Why did I hire him? I do need a manager, but he hasn't proven that he's a useful one yet.

I quickly sit up straight. This sudden change in position makes me feel dizzy. My stomach is shaking, I feel like I'm about to...Ughhh...vomit. I definitely drank too much.

"You drank too much."

"No shit, Sherlock." He likes to state the obvious, it's one of his many talents. I'm so lucky to have him as my manager. But in all seriousness, he's one of the worst managers I've ever seen. Parker's manager though, now that's what I call a professional manager. What was his name again? Glenn Quagmire I think...No, no, that's a family guy character. His name's Glenn, but I'm not sure what his last name is. Okay, I'm really, really drunk.

"What's wrong with you, man?" Asks Dave.

Is this question directed at me? Oh, I think it is.

"Noth...*Hiccup*... Nothing."

"You're a mess, wait here..."

He goes to the kitchen. After a minute or two he comes back with a cup filled with a transparent liquid. He hands it to me and I drink this odourless, colourless and tasteless liquid. What the hell is that? Oh, that's water.

"Why are you so upset? You should celebrate."

"Celebrate? Celebrate what? I didn't win the match."

"But you didn't lose either, unlike Parker. Don't you see? That proves that you're better than him."

He has a point. Nika didn't defeat me, but she defeated Parker. I did what Parker couldn't do, or more like I didn't do what Parker did, or... whatever, I can't think clearly.

"You know what, let's watch a movie or something." Dave turns on the T.V.

The first thing that comes up when we turn it on is an IBW Commercial promoting the Pay-Per-View, what a coincidence!

"Destiny is here, and it's full of the thrills, the ACTION, the TITLE DEFENSES that you've come to LOVE. It's got the Global Champion defending his title against two of the most worthy competitors, it's got the Black Wolf trying to regain his title, and it's got the debut of plenty of talent, looking to make it big in IBW! So tune in to DESTINY to find out who will take home the win, the glory, the INTENSITY!"

They show the PPV poster at the end of the commercial. Is that...is that Lafron? What the...But how? What about me? Why did they put that has-been on the poster. I'm in the main event, I should've been the one on it. For Goodness sake, I defeated that guy in my return match, why does he get to be on the poster AND on the banner? I always give my all to this company, I am the best talent on the roster, but I'm not on the F*CKING promotional posters.

"Did you see that?"

"What? The Commercial? Yeah."

"No, the poster, Dave, I'm not on the poster. I'm in the main event and I'M NOT ON THE FREAKING POSTER."

"Come on, man, it doesn't matter."

"Actually, it DOES matter. They should put that handsome face on all of the company's merchandise. Dave, I'm the longest reigning world champ. I deserve more recognition."

Dave has a confused look on his face. He thinks this isn't important, but it is to me.

"That's one of the main reasons I want to win the Global Championship. You see, when I win it, I'm not going to be overlooked anymore. My face is gonna be all over the news. I'm gonna be the face of the company, the figurehead. Not Parker and certainly not anyone else, only me."

I grab the remote control and I turn off the T.V. I'm going crazy, I certainly need to get some rest. I'm about to have one of the biggest matches in my life this Wednesday, and I'll be damned if I don't prepare well for it. I need to train harder than ever and do whatever I can to stay in shape. Maybe I didn't win my last match, but I didn't lose it either. And I'm more than sure that I'm going to win the next one.

"You're right. The poster doesn't matter, I need to focus on my upcoming triple threat match."

"That's the spirit! We need to move now, though, we have a flight to catch." He says it with enthusiasm.

"Flight? What flight?" I ask him.

"The show is going to be held in St. Louis..."

Well, he can be useful sometimes.

"Okay then, let's go."

I try to get to my feet but I can't, I feel really dizzy. I guess the flight can wait...

And you'll be regretting your choices after Destiny, when you're beaten, battered and defeated, knowing that you never earned the title match, because you couldn't get the job done.
