What's happening with the Q&A evenings with ISGM. Are we boycotting the chance to discuss with ISGM or and we all going to turn up to the same time and show them how many are not going to sign this contract?

At last nights Metro North Melbourne meeting subbies resolved to not attend the ISGM Q & A Meetings and to send the letter drafted by the lawyer instead. There is another meeting in Melbourne tonight Metro East, the details are in the news and announcements section. If subbies do decide to attend the ISGM Q & A (which are by invitation only) then it is better to attend as a large group and they should not be coerced into signing the contract. Send the letter to the email address provided before you go to the meeting. It is likely that ISGM will be selective in who they 'invite' to the meetings. |

I still haven't received the letter to send to them but I did reply to the number that continues to message me to sign the contract and my team leader ; I'm already on a legal bounded contract with isgm that is valid for two years Stop harassing me with constant emails in the middle of the night and constant text messages. Once my contract is near to expire my legal representation will make sure your new contract is within the guidelines under the Independent Contractors Act 2006. And any other legislations that apply I will be not working under terms where I will be performing work on terms that are 'unfair' or 'harsh' Stop trying to put undue influence or pressure onto me to sign a contract when I'm already legal bounded to contract that's is valid and not due to expire |

Why would we sign a contract that voids our Workcover? |

Exactly 'frustrated' it is Unconscionable and it is being done to get around the fact that WorkCover in Victoria (anyone know about other states?) has deemed every injured ISGM subbie so far to be an employee of ISGM for the purposes of Workers Compensation! So now they are trying to strip you of your rights. Don't sign it.
