Another huge turnout of angry ISGM subbies in Melbourne tonight at Sandown Park. Close to 200 subbies have now attended the two back to back meetings to express their concern over the new ISGM contract. You can cut and paste the letter to go to ISGM in the News and Discussion part of this site. News will be updated as it comes to hand. In the meantime talk to each other and organise! If you don't fight you lose!

lets stick together and secure our families future not those of directors that earn thousands per year, we are independent contractors and take risk in doing so but with rewards, thats why we do this type of work

Don't sign the new contract that will further erode your conditions, treating you like an employee without any of the employee entitlement such as, superannuation, holiday pay, sick leave, weekend rates etc. the new contract does not even allow you to be a true contractor. You will be signing up to punitive measures that gives Isgm the right to doc your pay for re-rolls that you have no control over. They have disguised a pay cut by calling it a pay rise. The only situation that you will get an additional 1.5% is if your kpi is over the 7.5% slipp line. What ever percentage you are over will be taken out of your weekly earnings.
They will control your availability requiring you to give them 30 day notice if you have to take a day off. Working weekend will be mandatory.
