It feels like we aren't being listened to by ISGM as they are going ahead with contract changes without our consent. It's time everyone took a stand instead of complaining about everything. Hit them where it hurts in order to make them take notice. Everyone should make themselves unavailable if these changes take affect, now why we have the momentum. Another Union meeting? This meeting needs to address our exact plan and action we are taking. I feel like everyone doesn't know where this is heading or where we currently stand. Remove the fines or no employees to do their work! No work till our rep actually sits at the table and actually negotiates a fair and reasonable contract for all as per the contract process. Enough is enough! |

Not sure where you are located obviously, but the Union has been VERY helpful so far. Perhap you could attend the next meeting of subbies in your area to discover the plans that have already been put in place. I'm Vic based and only recently joined the union because I thought I was on my own - I now know that's exactly what ISGM wanted. There are a number of plans in place already, and the action that has been taken has been successful so far - the speed of that success really does depend on our numbers, and they are increasing all the time!! |

Yeah I have been to the last 2 meetings regarding the new contract and agree the union is doing great. That's not the point I'm making. The point I'm making is that guys in the field stop work till the union can go in a negotiate on the table. Otherwise ISGM won't sit down with then to negatate anything, it will just roll over with the update changes to old contract. We have to push back harder to make our point. I believe we need to "strike while the irons hot" so to speak... |

Totally agree, and with the numbers we have been getting at those meetings I think it's safe to say the iron is heating as we speak. They'll be hit where it hurts before they know it and about bloody time too. I for one am sick of sitting back taking it up the arse from ISGM. If you're reading this Benny boy you might want to invest in a tub of Vaseline while you can still afford it! |

I totally agree that serious action is necessary but not until the 1st of December has come and gone and that everyone has rejected the standing offer and appointed their representative to negotiate on their behalf. The union requires as many letters of appointment to be sent through from everone, so that, when eventually it comes to the point of negotiations, the rep goes in with force behind him. If that process fails we then hit hard. |

That's right Vinnie! There are three options being considered regarding the next steps after 1st December. Those discussions are being had at the meetings and being debated as to what the best option is. |

All I can see is Isgm ask us to work the week ends shouldn't we all just say no !? And then there is the incessant number of SMS messages asking for cts to go interstate or up state to work why are we still picking up these offers we really need to say no weekend and no going away . |
