Guess i am a beggar for punishment

I heard my name was being "bagged" along with others from Inworldz by a few who seem to be at loggerheads with the founders...and are looking to blame everyone but themselves.

Yes i entered the SLU forums ..and true to form it was like entering a pond of hungry sharks holding a lump pf bleeding raw meat. [[noooooo]]

Well it didnt take long for all the anti inworldz posters to bare their sharpened teeth and start tossing insults at me... [[drools]]

All of which re-inforces my decdision that coming to inworldz was the best place to be , because although there's drama llamas there... they are not carnivorous

A well guess i will now leave then to swim intheir own cess pool [[givinlubins]]

Where is everybody?

Those little green dots

Posted by Johnny Night (OOW Creator) at Apr 14 2013, 09:42 AM. 0 comments

So I was in my skybox putting up some new releases, and I happened to glance at the mini map. To my pleasant surprise there were about 8 green dots darting back and forth over my parcel. Either they were copybotting everything they ran into, or they were happily exploring. I'll choose to believe the latter for now ;tinfoil; . I've been online more in the last three days than in the previous month or two combined, and I'm not trying to boast. It's been rare to go more than a couple minutes without a visitor or two (but it's probably a spurt).

As a creator first, a seller second, it brings me a great deal of pride to see people enjoying my things. It's fun, and that more than anything is why I keep making crap. I can imagine the conversations in IM as they zoom around; "Oh this is neat!" "I can't decide if I want this one or that one. What do you think?" (or far more likely, lol) "This is ok I guess. You think you can make better?".

I honestly don't care if they buy anything or not. That I had the opportunity to display something and they decided to (and were able to) visit is awesome. I couldn't ask for more of a compliment.

At any rate, with all the talk of consumerism floating around in various grids lately, I thought I'd share. I'm not social, never have been. But green dots are kinda fookin cool and have little to do with dollar signs. So if you're looking for them just to make a buck, you're missing out on something even cooler. ;thwack;

ETA: just to be clear, there's nothing wrong with making a buck too
