A benefit is planned June 6th for an Ilion heart patient. Ronald Fuhrer has been battling heart problems since May 2008. He was recently diagnosed with "cardiac sarcoidosis" and had emergency open heart surgery to have a ventricular assist device (heart pump) implanted. He is recovering from surgery in preparation for a heart transplant. The benefit is 2 p.m. at the Ilion Snowdrifters Club house. Live music will be provided by "The Posers", There will be a Chinese Auction, 50/50 raffles plus plenty of food. Tickets are $10.00 per person and can be purchased at the door. All donations will go toward paying travel and other medical and daily living expenses now and after the transplant. Thank you all in advance! |
