RTP Grants: Write your Senator ! Wednesday, 20 May 2009 14:07 Your letters and phone calls are need to preserve the RTP program This program has been the source of a series of grants in support of trails in New York State. As explained by Mike Fischer, NYSSA president, the time to act is now. Grants specifically related to snowmobiling most often fund purchase of trail grooming equipment. New grooming equipment today can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. These grants are critical to helping clubs get into safe, reliable, and efficient equipment. Please reach out to both U.S. Senators from New York and express your concern that the Recreational Trails Program(RTP) continues. And with those D people in power who do not like our sport. It is a good time to write your congress people. This is the fund we applied for and got funds for our new groomer.
