Went up yesterday, Monday. Parked at bottom of Powley Rd, rode the length Powley, then over the trail to the Lodge, had a quick bite there, then headed back west over past the Bear Path and into the Morehouse trail system. Then back across down to Powley again. About 65 miles.

I am not a fan of trailering, its alot of work for me, but it's mid Jan and I guess you have to go where the snow is. If I have to, Salisbury is definitely one of our favorites.

Trails were in great shape. We passed groomers all day long. Not too many out for a holiday really. A tip of the hat to the folks up in that neck of the woods, they truly deserve it.

Just a reminder for those leaving from the Ridgerunners clubhouse - they now require you to be a club member to use their parking lot.

Haven't they always required that?

Matt,
Yes they have always "required" membership to use the parking lot & race track. Now they have signs posted and are going to try to put more effort in enforcing it.

I am a officer of the salisbury ridgerunners. A little info about our policy and why.
We put the signs up a couple of years ago at the entrance and on the track because we have over 2500 members. On a good Sunday, the parking lots will be full of trucks and trailers. If we allow anyone to park, our 1000+ out of area members who choose to be members of our club have no place to park. So we try to police it and ask people to join our club since we plow, groom the track and they are on our portion of the trails. The track is another issue. The problem is many come use our facilitiy tear up the track and trails, bring there own food and beverages and never spend a nickel! Our club works hard just like every other club to keep up with the traffic. We just ask to support our voluneetrs with a $20.00 membership. A pretty cheap price to pay to us a track, park for the day and have $200,000.00 worh of grooming equipment smooth the trails for them. Last weekend there were 100+ sleds "racng" 10 wide when we ask to only go 4 wide for safety. I like to get good info out so the dedicated riders can pass the real facts on...
