TRAIL CLOSURE !!!!!!

The Roberts Road trail is closed as of NOW, a new land lease has closed the trail between the Cobain Land and Rusty Jones land! As of now you can't ride from Roberts Road to The The Lanterns. You will have to go down into Sauquoit and up through the Sauquoit Knolls Golf Course. The land being closed is through the woods were it drifts in next to the sugar shack. Please respect this land owner and stay out, untill we can get this figured out! Please share this post and pass it around!

Okay it's been less than 24 hours sinse we got word the Roberts Road trail was closed. After spending hours on the phone last night and this morning I think we got everything worked out and the trail back! A new entity has taken control of the McDonald's property and has plans to break ground on a new horse stable and indoor riding area near the snowmobile trail. They have started work on site and expect the work to pick up as of March and have concern over the snowmobiles not staying on the trail in the woods and riding in the fields. They will be working throughout the property and don't want anyone to get hurt or run into anything. We will be placing signs in this section tonight directing all sled traffic into the woods and stay on the trail. So please get the word out that we need some help and please tell people to stay on the trail or stay home. this trail will be opened up once all the signing is completed. Many hands make for quick work. I'm thinking we can meeting at the club house at 6 pm and get signs prepped and put up tonight. There will be zero tolerance on this trail and any sleds off the signed trail will be TRESPASSING!
A special thank you goes out to Upstate Cerebral Palsy for working with us. Please check out Upstate Cerebral Palsy's Facebook page and give them a like for all the great work they do.
We need someone to please step up and take this trail over and work with the landowners and sign it every year. We will be will to help get you started and help make connections with the landowners. If the trail is signed correctly and maintained we will groom it on a regular basis.
Thank you,
Kelly
