The Jedi Order is an ancient and noble monastic peacekeeping organization unified by its belief and observance of the Force. The Jedi are the guardians of peace and justice in the Galactic Republic, and became the most famous of the various groups that relied on the Force for their power. Led by a series of Jedi Councils, the Order grew over the millennia despite facing many trials, most often threats from the Sith, wielders of the dark side of the Force. The main Jedi Temple, the Jedi Praxeum, is on Yavin IV.

There are less than 500 Jedi left throughout the galaxy.

The New Republic is the name of the galactic government established by the Alliance to Restore the Republic to replace the Galactic Empire after the Battle of Endor. It is less often referred to as the New Galactic Republic or the Second Galactic Republic. Like its predecessor, it was often referred to as the Republic.

It is now known as the Galactic Alliance after being crippled by the New Sith Empire.

Czerka is a Galaxy-spanning droid and weapons manufacturing business. The company is currently in alliance with the Sith Empire. Their main headquarters are on Kashyyyk.

These Mandalorians are under the leadership of Dhagon Fett, Mandalore the Survivor. After the death of the previous Mandalore, Fett took the Mandalorians to the planet of Mandalore, where the Mandalorian race first began. Currently, their existence is unknown to the Galaxy.

Black Sun is the most powerful and infamous crime syndicate in the galaxy. It holds a massive amount of reach and influence, extending its tendrils of corruption deep in the various galactic governments of each era. It is infamous for its involvement in illegal activities, including piracy and smuggling.

Fleur, a Feeorin, became the first non-Falleen to become the leader of the Black Sun.
