Newbie Posts: 1 Group: Jedi Member #26 Joined: March 10, 2008	Name: Maelyn [Bel] Iblis Age: 21 Gender: Female Appearance: Maelyn has dark down hair that can sometimes be mistaken for black. Her eyes are blue and oval shaped. They are perhaps on the larger side but fit her open face very well. They also easily betray her every emotion, no matter how much she tries to hide it. She has large cheekbones that cause dimples when she smiles. Her lips are small but still rather full for their size. She is average height and weight for a woman of her size standing 5 feet 5 inches and weighing around 115 pounds. She has a very feminine figure and has some muscle, though she finds it hard to gain muscle. But she is very agile, despite her absence of an abundance of physical strength. She has a sort of quiet strength that shows when she is in battle or leadership position. She takes orders submissively and doesn't question them unless she thinks there is a tragic flaw. She hates confrontation and sometimes finds herself being upset when she hasn't said something she should have. She is very timid about making others upset with her and tries her hardest to just go along with the crowd, even if she doesn't agree with them. Some have said that she is a very ambiguous character. She is calm, quiet and almost shy in normal settings, but it seems that she is saving up all her aggressiveness for battles. When attacked she is fierce and doesn't ever back down or surrender unless physically forced to. While she is very reasonable usually, in the heat of a fight it sometimes seems like she forgets all her training. She struggles when gaining control of her Force abilities as well as keeping a good balance. Maelyn often finds herself slipping towards the Dark Side, but so far she has been able to check herself and keep from slipping away completely. Biography: Maelyn was born to the boldest of mothers and the most respectable of fathers. She never found a balance between them. Despite the fact that they argued rather regularly over frivolous things, May knew that they loved each other. As the stories went, they had argued from the day they left and somehow it worked out. But Maelyn never understood that completely. She grew up with a lot of pressure from her parents. Though they weren't celebrities or anything, they were well respected in the galaxy. Her mother was known for her spunky attitude and her father for his heritage and military experience. Katiara tried not to pressure her daughter because she felt the same sort of pressure growing up (as her mother was a well-liked senator back in her day). Unfortunately, it couldn't be avoided. This was probably the largest reason why May turned out the way she did. She was always a little insecure about how to act, how she could measure up to the standards that her parents and heritage had set up for her. When her Jedi potential was realized at a young age, Maelyn was expected to attend Skywalker's Jedi Academy. She finally went to Yavin 4 to train at the age of 6, though she had frequent visit to and from her parents. She felt almost as if she couldn't escape them. Sure, she loved them but she felt as if she was also directly affiliated with them and had to met their legacies. As she grew older, Maelyn wanted to follow the ways of the Force and become a strong Jedi for the Light Side, but because of her constant struggle with her parents, she often found herself slipping more towards the Dark Side. Master Skywalker told Maelyn that it wasn't something that could be cured, she had to gain control of it. But even after being promoted to a Jedi Knight and leaving the academy, May couldn't find the balance. Other Information: Nothing right now, but let me know if you need more
