It had taken MISCHA several minutes to climb down the stairs, and even longer to get to the kitchen, but she knew that she wouldn’t be getting food unless she made the effort and made something for herself. Mischa knew that she was still really injured, but she was used to doing things for herself, even if she was in great pain. She knew that she just had to take it one step at a time, and give herself breaks whenever they were needed, otherwise she would end up unable to get out of bed altogether, and that would be terrible. That would mean someone would have to wait on her, in order to get her what she needed and where she needed when she needed to be moved, and that was just unacceptable.

Panting, as if out of breath, Mischa braced herself on every bit of furniture she could get her hands on, as she scowled the kitchen for something to eat. It had to be something that was easy to make and that was easy on her stomach. Heaven forbid she upset her stomach and make her condition worse as a result. Looking through the fridge, she sighed, not finding anything appetizing, but knowing that she had to get something in her stomach otherwise she would starve to death. Dairy was off the table, not feeling like battling with it right now...anything not soft was off the table as well, since she didn’t want to exercise her stomach muscles too much. Looking through the cupboards, she spotted something that might do her some good. Oatmeal. It wasn’t the best thing in the world, but it would certainly do, and it was instant, which made her life a million times easier.

Filling a cup with water, Mischa stuck it in the microwave to heat up. Placing the packets in the bowl, she took a moment for a breather, her chest heaving from all the work she had done just to get down there. It probably would get her yelled at by someone who knew of her condition, but she refused to be made out to be helpless. Mischa had been beaten up to the point of barely breathing, she could manage a wound such as this.

Danny had been avoiding the mansion since the accident. Raked with guilt, he could not bring himself to face one person. Not Xavier who had trusted him with his students, not Scott, his leader, not Hank, the man who at least prevented him from being responsible for someone’s death, not Ororo who always seemed strong and together and especially not Mischa.

He couldn’t stop picturing her. There was so much blood, she had been so pale and her cries. Every time he closed his eyes, he’d hear her whimpering. What had he done? How could he have left this happen? He failed as a teacher in every way possible. He was lucky they still even let him in the mansion. Part of him was waiting for the other shop to drop, for Xavier to call him into his office and kick him out but that day had yet to come.

He checked in on Mischa from time to time, he knew her progress and her current condition but he still couldn’t bring himself to see her. What would he say? How could he say anything really? He failed her. She could have died and it was his fault. He pushed her too hard. What kind of teacher was he?

He was only back at the mansion today to prove to himself that he could be there, that he could face the students who looked at him and whispered or the teachers and the glare of disapproval. Sure he hadn’t seen any of that yet, but he was waiting for it to happen at every corner.

He moved into kitchen to see if Logan had, by any chance, stoked the fridge with some beer. He needed a drink.

But when he arrived at the kitchen a beer was the last thing on his mind.

There Mischa stood, looking worse for wear, out of bed, most likely making things worse.

Multiple emotions hit Danny at that moment; happy to see her, guilt to see the way she was, confusion as to why she was up and about and the one which one out; anger.

“What are you doing!?” he rushed forward, rationally going right out the door “You can’t be up Mischa, you have to be in bed! Don’t you know your just going to make things worse!”

He didn’t mean to yell but as he started at her, his breathing heavy, he just couldn’t understand how she could be so dense. She should be lying down, Danny had already down his damage to her, she couldn’t make it worse.

Mischa was quite contently standing there, letting her breathing catch up with the rest of her body, when she heard screaming, seemingly directed at her. Jumping in place, then wincing as she immediately put her hand to her side, trying to calm the pain that suddenly came with the jumping. It took her a moment to realize who it was, but upon turning around she realized that it was Danny, and she couldn’t help but smile. Of all the people in the world to yell at her, Danny was at the top of her list, though it had been a while since she had seen him. His face looked ridden with guilt, even as she stood there, but she couldn’t help the smile at how much he seemed to care.

”I’ve got to eat, Danny.” She figured since she was on medical hiatus, she could call him by his first name. Besides, it felt better on her lips to say his first name over his last name. After all, he was only a couple years older than her, and she was technically an adult at this point, being 18 and all. After all they’d been through, as well, she figured that it was a safe bet to use his first name. ”I’m fine, except for the whole in my side... And I just can’t let people just wait on me.... It’s not my way.” It wasn’t long after that the microwave began to beep, signaling that the water was done heating up. Smiling, she turned towards it and finished making her lunch.

Mischa knew that Danny wouldn’t just let her walk to the table by herself, so she waited for him to try and escort her to the nearest sitting place. Besides, Mischa didn’t mind Danny helping her anywhere. Despite everything that they’d been through, Mischa still found him attractive, though she wouldn’t admit it straight out... And Mischa had her hormones, even if she tried to hide it, and she couldn’t help when she was attracted to someone. ”Oh don’t give me that ‘look what I’ve done to you already’ look. You didn’t do anything that opted this. It was my own clumsy self... I’ve said it a million times before, and I will continue to say so for however long it takes!” Mischa gave him a slightly scolding look, trying not to make him feel any worse than he already did.

Danny felt his anger subside the moment Mischa smile at him. In place of rage was even more guilt. He couldn’t believe he just yelled at her like that. He felt like an asshole. He had no right to scream at her. He stared at her for a moment, taking in her pretty smile and the fact that she seemed to hold herself up so well, both physically and emotionally after what happened to her. That impressed the hell out of Danny.

Of course whatever Danny was feeling towards Mischa was completely inappropriate. She was a student and he was bad enough he injured, to be thinking of her in any sort of way that wasn’t teacher/student was inappropriate. Yet he find himself thinking of Mischa a lot lately, in ways he definitely shouldn’t have been.

“Come on,” he said moving towards her as he began to assist her to the table, “You don’t like to be waited on only because you don’t know how much fun it is. When I was seven I got my tonsils out and it was ice cream all the time. Though I guess I always had a staff at my beckon and call but I was never the beckon and call tell.”

He helped her sit down and smiled somewhat sheepishly. He took the seat closet to her, turning it so he faced her directly.

He smiled at her comment about who was to blame but he still couldn’t shake the guilt, “I know but...I was supposed to be watching you. I shouldn’t...I should have protected you.” He looked away, and noticed that his leg was shaking slightly. He put a hand over it, “I’m your teacher Mishca, I pushed you...I’m..” h

He sighed deeply and loudly. He looked at Mischa, but still avoiding making eye contact. She had such pretty eyes and he didn’t want to find himself looking into them.

“Are you okay though?” he asked, “I mean, are you hurting now? Do you need anything? There has to be something I can do...I just...” He looked at her almost pleadingly, “I want to do something for you.”

Mischa found it somewhat adorable how much he cared about how she was doing, knowing that there must have been a lot of guilt there for him to feel such a way. She honestly didn't know why considering she was the klutz who fell from a tree and landed herself in the infirmary. She was the sort of person to accept the fact that she was at fault for getting herself hurt, even if sometimes it actually wasn't her fault and accepting it as her fault was more of a coping mechanism. However, in this case, she knew full good and well that she was the one that fell from the tree, and that she was the one who got herself hurt. There was nothing she could do about it now, other than heal.

Taking a bite of her oatmeal, she was bombarded by Danny somewhat freaking out on her. Quickly chewing down her food, and swallowing, Mischa placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, look at me. It was not your fault. I was being careless and I underestimated the weight of a branch. There was nothing I could have done to save myself, and there's definitely nothing you could have done." Mischa's tone was calm, and oddly understanding considering what had happened. If there was anything Mischa learned during her years in her home life, it was that some things were meant to be left in the past because sometimes there's nothing else you can really do about it. "Your job isn't to protect me, or really to watch over me... it was to teach, and in a sparring match it was to test my limits... and apparently falling from a tree was my limit."

Even though she was in pain, Mischa let out a small chuckle, trying not to laugh to hard as it might re-open her wound. She hoped, though, that making light of the situation might help him feel a little better about this whole thing. Heavens knew how he was taking it on the inside... if it helped, however, she hadn't been telling anyone that Danny was at fault for anything. In fact, she had been telling people just what happened. She slipped and fell from a tree. Nothing else really. "I'm fine really. If you really want to help you can get me a glass of water if you want." Her smile never faltered as she spoke, knowing that's not exactly what he meant, but hey...she was thirsty.

Danny felt a slight weight left from his shoulders. Talking to Mischa, being with Mischa was making him feel better. He wasn't sure if he believed what Mischa was saying but he wanted to believe it and hearing that she didn't blame meant a great deal.

At Mischa's joke, he laughed despite himself. It was nice to laugh after what happened and more importantly it was nice to see Mischa laugh. He watched her chuckle and for the first time in days, he truly felt okay. The guilt was still there, sure but he wasn't itching to get out of the school and he definitely wasn't itching to get away from Mischa. In fact, he was feeling quite the opposite at the moment.

"Sure I'll get you some water," he smiled as he got up from his chair. He moved to the fridge, taking out a large thing of water. He was happy to be doing anything for Mischa. Not only did he not want her to move and further injure herself, but the more he felt he was doing for her, the better he left. No mater what it was. Also, he wanted to see her smile again. People smile when they get water right? He hoped so. He liked when she smiled, though he wasn't sure if he liked that. He had to keep reminding himself that she was a student.

He moved back to Mischa, putting the glass of water down in front of her.

"So," he said. He smiled weakly and rubbed the back of his head. He wasn't sure what to say to her at the moment and he was trying his best not to look into her beautiful eyes or pay too much attention to her warm smile, "Have you been uh...enjoying the rest and relaxation?"

What? Really? That's the best he could? Danny Rand? Charismatic bachelor? Seriously? Danny wanted to smack himself...hard.

"I'm sorry that was stupid," he blushed slightly, "I mean, you're probably really bored aren't you? Like mind numbingly so.."

While Danny got her her water, Mischa slowly ate her “meal” not wanting to push herself to eat too much too quickly should her stomach still be a little upset from the incident. Ever since she had been hurt, her stomach was slightly on the fritz. This was the first time in a while that she had eaten anything that wasn’t soup or broth. She would give anything to be able to eat some lasagna or something with meat and cheese, but she knew her stomach would protest heavily to that idea, no matter how delicious it sounded. She supposed she would just have to be patient with her stomach and shove her appetite down into the depths of the back of her mind. One thing was for sure, once her stomach was willing, she would be making some heavy foods.

As he returned, Mischa smiled up at him and took the glass from him, taking a sip of water before sitting it down on the table soon after. She didn’t really drink a lot of sodas and juices, mostly because she didn’t like all the sugars in her body, so she was okay with drinking plenty of water. Besides, felines mostly drank water to begin with, so she didn’t have any craving problems when it came to that. In fact, Mischa always enjoyed a nice glass of water.

Mischa had to keep her laughing down at his question, finding it somewhat adorable, especially when he admitted to how corny it sounded. Though, she didn’t think it was stupid like he said. ”I’ve got a slight case of cabin fever, sure. It doesn’t help that I can’t shift because of the bandages. There’s not much I can do about that though, so I just have to deal with it.” Mischa pushed her spoon around in her bowl, thinking for a moment on how much time she had spent in bed, and not moving. It was a bit mind-numbingly boring, especially since she had been confined to her room. Mostly she past the time the way she normally did, drawing or reading, but even that seemed boring since she couldn’t go anywhere.

”I spend a lot of time alone though... Except when someone comes in to check on my health. I don’t have a whole lot of friends yet either, so that doesn’t help... And people probably don’t like seeing someone hurt like I am either.” Mischa took another bite, sighing a bit, knowing that there was nothing she could do about it. She was not about to force anyone to visit with her if they were uncomfortable, she would rather be alone.

Danny felt a tinge of guilt when Mischa had mentioned no one had come to visit her. What could he say? He didn’t come to visit her either. There was too much guilt and even fear associated with walking into that room and seeing whatever state she might have been in. Even if he looked passed the fact that he felt guilty about putting her into that position, he was just too afraid to see her. The image of Mischa, pale and bloody, was still on his mind and he just couldn’t bring himself to see if she got worse.

But she was better, her smile and laughing was proof of that and he was grateful for that.

He gave her a sympathetic smile, “Well I’m sorry I didn’t come by. It’s just...” Was there really any excuse? He shook his, “Well, I was an idiot. I should have been there for you. And I’m sorry that no one came to visit you, I should have came to visit you.”

He hated to admit how much he wanted to be there for Mischa and even how much he just wanted to be around her. He was her teacher wasn’t he? He shouldn’t have been feeling whatever he was feeling towards Mischa. There had to be some level of professionalism. It didn’t help this school had people who could read his mind, his thoughts and his feelings, all which were leaning towards Mischa at the moment.

“How about when you get better, I take you out somewhere,” he realized that might sound like he was asking her on a date so he quickly added, “You can bring friends too if you’d like. Wherever you want to go. You know for some born in the lap of luxury, I’m just not frivolous enough. Help me be a little frivolous. Please." He gave her a hopeful, playfully pleading smile.

Mischa shrugged as she continued to eat her oatmeal. Sure, it was lonely, but she didn't expect any different from people. Mischa had learned a long time that you shouldn't put too much faith in the ways of mankind. Sometimes they could be Samaritans and do something nice, or they could be narcissistic and selfish. Not that Mischa thought Danny was selfish nor narcissistic, but she understood why he wouldn't visit her. And no matter what he said, he didn't really owe her anything so why should he visit her. Granted she would have liked it if Danny visited her after her accident, but she couldn't really expect him to really.

"It's all right, really. I didn't expect to get a lot of visitors." Mischa smiled as whole-heartedly as she could, though there was a slight lingering sadness to the smile no matter how hard she tried to hide it. It was hard to trust people, and it was hard not trusting people... she guessed there was irony in that. Then again, she also didn't feel the need to push her burdens onto others, which is probably why she didn't have many friends in the first place... well that and the reason for her burdens. It was her weight to carry, and it wasn't fair for her to let it fall onto others.

She let out a small laugh at his suggestion, somewhat scrunching her nose at the idea. Mischa didn't really want to be spoiled, even if it was supposed to be some sort of apology from Danny. After being the opposite of spoiled her entire life, she didn't think she could let anyone spoil her. Mischa was sure that he could spend his money on better things than her anyway. Besides, the fact that he sincerely apologized was enough for Mischa. "I'm not frivolous... at all, so I can't really help you there... but I'd certainly love just getting out of this place that's for sure."

Danny had seen the linger of sadness in Mischa's smile. He knew a few details about her background, that she had, had a rough, lonely life before coming here. It seemed that even here she didn't have many friends. Danny couldn't exactly relate. He had never been alone. He had his parents and then when they died he had his grandfather and the whole village of K'un L'un, and when he finally came home, he had Jeryn and the many friends he'd met in school or just 'being wealthy'. If he was lying in some hospital bed, Danny was sure he'd never been without visitors. Yet just because Danny was never alone, didn't mean he was lonely. He was different than everyone else in K'Un L'Un, just like he was different from all his trust-fund friends. And he missed his parents, everyday, almost every moment.

Maybe it was sympathy, maybe it was because deep down, or maybe it was something else, but Danny felt something for Mischa in that moment and his hand moved as if it was on it's own to rest on top of Mischa's own hand. He looked into her eyes, which he had so long been trying to avoid, and gave her a sympathetic smile.

"Well we can definitely get out of this place," he began, "And that's a promise. And since neither of us know how to be frivolous and I have all this unearned money, I say we just go crazy and get in touch with our gluttonous side. And mean just because we're the good guys doesn't mean we can't do at least one of seven sins."

He squeezed her hand, again not exactly meaning too but he liked her hand, as strange as it sounded. It was soft and warm, and holding it seemed to ease any guilt or doubts he had, it just made him feel..well..good.

Mischa tried not to look towards Danny, in case pity was written all over her face. She was pretty good at reading people's faces, especially since her eye sight was better than most. Part of Mischa didn't want to see the look of pity because she didn't want to be pitied, but part of her didn't want to see that look because it was on Danny's face. Perhaps it was because Danny was supposed to be an instructor, or maybe it was because he was an attractive male, or maybe it was some other reason entirely, but she knew that she was afraid to look. Instead, she continued to eat her oatmeal, as if nothing was going through her head, and as if she didn't care how little of friends she had.

She nearly jumped when Danny grabbed her hand, but she held her composure and merely looked in his direction. Needless to say, she was glad she didn't see pity reflecting in his eyes. It looked something similar to sympathy, and she supposed she could take that over pity any day... Though she would prefer that he didn't feel bad for her at all. To Mischa, her life was just her life. A series of events that have passed and are forever in her past. She could choose to let those events and moments rule how she lived, or she could leave them in the past and move forward in her own way, which is what she chose to do. So there was really no point in Danny feeling bad for her.

Mischa laughed a little bit as her hand went to her stomach, thinking of what that could mean. "I don't know about that... I don't know if my stomach could handle it." Though it would be nice to eat something other than what was on the list of foods she could eat with a hole in her side. There was no reason for her to upset her stomach any more than it already was from the pain. "Maybe after I've healed up a bit more and can actual eat stuff like ice cream and pizza...and gummy worms... and what not." Though she wanted to eat it, she knew that was going to have to wait.

Glad that the conversation has switched elsewhere, Mischa continued to roll with it, turning the attention away from her and back towards him. "I'm surprised that you don't buy some ridiculously expensive car, or maybe some random painting or something? Isn't that what people with money do?" Mischa couldn't really relate to those who had money because she never much. She did work though, as much as she could with school and learning to use her abilities... though now that she was injured, she was on work hiatus.

He laughed and smiled at her. What do rich people do? Danny was a very bad rich person? Though he had a pent house in the city, that was the same pent house that had belonged to his parents. Most of his friends already a place in the city and a place in the Hamptons, he just had his parents home and a room in the mansion.

In some ways it seemed like Danny hated having money, that he was almost ashamed of it but that couldn't be further from the truth. His family had earned that money for generations and his father had worked hard to make Rand Corp one of the top 100 companies in the world and his mother had worked hard to make it one of the leading charity organizations. He was proud of their money, proud of the company which he was currently a very bad CEO of. He just wanted to have something he himself earned. Growing up in K'un L'un taught him the importance of hard work and the pride one gets in accomplishing a task. The money he had, he had never earned. So while he didn't hate his money and while he took pride in what his parents accomplished, he felt he himself needed to accomplish more. He knew he should be doing more with the business and not leaving it the board members hands but damn it, busy meetings were so boring! And he really felt he was more help at the mansion. That's where he hoped to leave his mark.

"I think I make a horrible rich person," he frowned sarcastically, "I hardly know what rich people do anymore. I blame it on the fact that I spent nearly a decade in an ancient village on top of a mountain in Tibet. Believe it or not, they didn't have cable or internet so I couldn't go on gossip sites and keep up with what was happening to the rich and famous on ET." He gave a heavy sigh, "Life was pretty rough.

He smiled at Mischa, which he was founding it was hard not to do around her, "I guess I could buy an expensive piece of art and look worldly and sophisticated. That seems to be the way to go. Hang it up some way and casually tell people how I spent two million dollars on it and it was made from cow dung and the souls of virgins. Of course they won't care about those last two things. It's the price that counts!" He said with a very stern finger wage. "I guess I can get a car since I'm living in Westchester but what car can I get that says 'I'm wealthy yet practical though I can have a good time but drive safely too' and I also have to make sure whatever car I get doesn't shout 'penis issues'. It's tough being rich," he said in mock exasperation.

Shaking his head, he narrowed his eyes as if he in deep thought and gave Mischa a long, hard look.

"Hmmm so I guess if we can't do the all you can eat buffet," hook his head in mock disappointment and sighed under his breath "And I was going to take you to one in Italy," he shrugged, "We can just do the next best sin. Greed. I can buy you stop to appease my guilt, like a cheating husband." He nodded at her, trying his best to keep a straight face, "What's your ring size and how big do you like your diamonds?"

Mischa didn’t know that Danny had spent any years in Tibet, then again she had never asked. His life certainly seemed more exciting to her than her own life, that was for sure. She could not even imagine spending any time in an ancient village, and she especially couldn’t think to live without the internet. Cable was easy enough to live without, mostly because she didn’t watch a whole lot of television to begin with. However, the internet was fairly important in everyday life, it seemed, in this day and age for gaining information and for communicating. She didn’t spend a whole lot of time on the internet, but she was thankful for it when it came to school projects. It was especially useful considering it was her last year.

Taking another bite from her oatmeal, Mischa began to poke at it once again, a smile on her face. ”The 2008 Charger isn’t too bad. Its sleek, but fairly practical. Then again, it might not put much of a dent in your income. You’d be better off buying a giant monster truck.” Mischa shook her head in a mock serious face, before letting a playful smile come to her face once again. She knew a bit about cars, but not as much as others she was sure. A lot of her knowledge actually came from bikes, considering it was something she had always wanted. It took a lot of work to actually be able to afford one, especially since she had to find a way to hide the money from her father, but eventually she got it, shortly after she left home that is.

Mischa let out a small laugh at his joke. Italy? Seriously? He had to be joking about that one. She had only been to California and well where she was now, and she had never even thought about being able to travel anywhere else besides where she ended up. She could probably chalk that one up to her father... Well that and the fact that she didn’t make a whole lot of money. But that was all right with her. Mischa knew her own limitations and knew that maybe one day she would be able to travel if she really put her mind and wallet to it.

Of course she had to laugh again, figuring he was joking about the second part as well, though one could never be sure. Putting her hands up in response, Mischa shook her head. ”No diamonds. I find them to be too gaudy if they’re used for anything but marriage proposals.” She dramatically turned her nose upward, trying to keep up the humor they had going on, though there was some truth to that statement. Hell, Mischa didn’t even know her ring size to begin with. Then again, growing up pretty poor, at least SHE was, it was easy to find diamonds a bit gaudy. Mischa was used to only getting the necessities, which was somewhat proof in her outfits considering she used most of the money she made now to dress how she wanted because she could.

“2008?” His eyebrows arched and he gave a look of mocked dismay, “Do you want me to be outcasted? The only thing worse than showing up in last year’s outfit, is showing up in an oudated model,” He shook his head than put up a finger, as if something dawned up on, “Or,” he said prolonging the word, “Showing up with an outdated model.” He sighed, “Them the rules of the lifestyle of the rich and famous. It’s a hard life, being both shallow and materialistic.”

Danny hoped that Mischa got that he was joking. Humor was one of his ways coping with any uncomfortable situation and well his wealth tended to be one of them. He just felt he had so little in common with his so called ‘peers’. He didn’t like to spend lavishly, he never wanted to flaunt his wealth and he didn’t feel just because he was born to money didn’t mean he was special or that he would never have to work again. Though he could blend well with his fellow trustfund kids, he never really felt like he belonged with him. They lived life without a care, their biggest concerns for the future dealt with where they were going to party that night. They didn’t know nor care about what was happening in the world unless it could somehow benefit them with a photo op and piece in People Magazine.

He laughed at Mischa’s joke, putting up his hands in mock protest, “No, no,no, no marriage,” he smirked.

Danny could never understand how people could get married so young. He was almost 22, the age his parents were married and Danny couldn’t see himself settling down and becoming the Mister to some woman’s Miss.

He leaned back in his chair, “Well whatever I can do, just let me know. Don’t be afraid to ask. I remember when I was in your situation,” his hand moved to the space between his pec muscles, “I mean I was just a kid but well,” he wasn’t sure if he could share this story, or at least the whole of it, “I got injured pretty badly too. Shot really,” shot by the same guns which killed his mother. He began to gently rub the place the bullet had hit, “Still have the scar to prove it though it’s hidden by a cool dragon tattoo.” He laughed, though it was a bit hollow. He never exactly liked to talk about the attack which cost his parents’ their live and nearly cost him his, “But when I got better, I was basically thrown right into training. It sort of helped me get over…umm..things and my injury. It gave me a purpose. Not saying you should go back to training or anything, but just finding something to do always helps.”

Mischa tried not to laugh too hard at his joke, especially when he mentioned the outdated Model. Oh dear, there was obviously a lot she didn't know about the lifestyles of the rich and the famous. That was all right with her though, for she was sure she didn't want to know what that kind of life was like first hand. She imagined that it could be very lonely though... especially when all one ever does was put on a happy smile and pretend to be as perfect as can be. She imagined that it had to be very exhausting having to parade around all day pretending to be something that society proclaimed that you had to be. It was somewhat like cliques in high school. If you didn't belong to the right club or acted the right way you were cast aside for someone better and more like the pack. "Goodness me! What was I thinking! The years just fly right by me like a blur!"

Putting her hand dramatically to her head, Mischa donned a southern accent, completing her dramatic proclamation. It didn't last long because when Danny gave his protests to marriage, she could see a good deal of truth in his eyes. It wasn't like she was (jokingly) asking him to ask her to marry him, but it was still pretty funny to see his reaction all the same. She imagined he probably wasn't the type of person who would marry anyone any time soon. He seemed more like the type to get his act together and find himself before he was willing to try and be part of a duo and find out the "we" that came with it. Mischa could understand that. Of course, she didn't thinking she was in the correct mental state to consider marriage... not that she thought she was old enough either. No, after witnessing her parents' marriage, she didn't think she was going to try that any time soon.

Mischa could see that this was a tender subject for him, talking about his injury and that there was a lot that he was purposely leaving out, which was fine with her. He didn't know her all that well, and she didn't expect him to go spilling his guts to her just like that. Perhaps if they got to know each other he would tell her, or perhaps he would never tell her. She felt like that was his decision to make, and she had no place to push on the matter or even insinuate him to delve further into the matter. Instead, she simply smiled and moved to the neutral part of the anecdote. "You have a tattoo? May I see it?"

She was fascinated with the idea of tattoos, though she had never gotten around to getting one herself, especially since she had only just turned 18. Part of her really wanted to get one because it would further signify her separation from her old life. To make a permanent decision without the force of her father lurking in the shadows. Perhaps if she ever saved up enough money, she would put it towards getting her first tattoo, though she had no idea at the moment what she would get. However, she mentally put it on her list of things to do in life.
