Personality:

Upon first glance, Megan probably looks like one of those punk rock chicks that doesn’t want anything to do with anyone unless they’re like her, but you’d be wrong. Megan is actually quite sociable if you give her a chance, though she may not exactly be peppy. She doesn’t mind talking to people, or even meeting new people for that matter, and she definitely doesn’t mind making friends if people give her the chance. Don’t get her wrong there’s a lot of sarcasm and even some snarky remarks not so hidden in her personality, but she knows when to use her arsenal of snappy come backs and when to keep them pinned behind her lips.

Megan’s not really a person who likes to keep her emotions under wraps. She feels that if someone wants to feel something they should feel it and not keep it bottled up where it could easily explode. And while she can keep her emotions to a limit if she feels it is necessary, she still doesn’t like to do so because she feels like she is lying to herself on the matter and lying to others about how she really feels. Of course, her grandparents are the ones who have taught her how to keep her more rambunctious emotions to a minimal when it can lead to something she might regret.

Megan wouldn’t call herself a goody-two-shoes, but she wouldn’t exactly call herself a bad girl either. She likes to think of herself as a normal teenager that can sometimes get herself into trouble if the situation is right. She has gotten pretty good at keeping her more devious acts secret when they do occur, but even she still gets caught from time to time.

Power Name: Pixie Wings
Power Type:  Physical
Power Description:

Megan has the ability to produce translucent pixie wings from the middle of her shoulder blades that allow her to take flight. While these wings look they couldn’t hold her weight at all, they are actually quite strong and are slowly growing stronger everyday.

Power weaknesses:

It takes energy to make her wings sprout from her body, and energy to fly, so she can’t fly for too long at the moment. And while her wings are strong enough to maintain her own weight, she cannot maintain more that 20 pounds more than that while flying without losing control and plummeting to the ground.

Power Name: Pixie Dust
Power Type:  Mental
Power Description:

Megan has the ability to produce a glittery-like dust that makes whoever inhales it see hallucinations of whatever she wants them to see. She tends to refrain from doing anything too complicated, fearing that it might drive the person crazy in the process. For the most part she focuses on creating something that will either distract whoever she is giving the dust to, or something to make them think that she is not there and never was there.

Power weaknesses:

The dust also takes energy from her, though not as much as her flying does, and it also doesn’t last very long. Because she is still growing, her powers are still developing, so her Pixie Dust isn’t very strong yet. The dust can maintain the illusion to up to 15 minutes or so before wearing off, and she can only use it between 3 and 4 times a day. For the most part, she only uses it in important cases.

History:
Megan was born to a mother who could not withstand the process of giving birth. Her mother didn’t last very long after giving birth before she passed on into the next life. It was a very big blow to her father, but he decided to name his newly born daughter after her mother. From that moment, Megan’s father decided that he would do anything for his little girl because she was a miracle of life and she was now the most important girl in his life. In some respects, he very much spoiled her in early life, not that she minded, but that didn’t mean that he didn’t teach her good morals in her youth.

Megan’s younger years was spent in bliss, living with her father and enjoying every moment spent with him. They were as close as a parent and child could be, and she could tell that her father enjoyed every moment he got to spend with his little girl. He also found that while he was more than willing to spoil her, Megan didn’t ask for much because she knew that they couldn’t afford much with him working in a mine the way he did. As long as she had his love, she didn’t need a lot of material goods. She also didn’t want him to feel like she needed things to be happy just because other girls her age acted in such a way. Megan didn’t think she was like the other little girls, so she didn’t act like the other little girls. She would much rather be herself than like someone else.

When Megan was about nine years old, she experienced her whole world crashing down around her. She was at school when she got the news that her father had been killed in a mining accident. The news sent her into a fit of tears and denial, no one being able to console her from the loss of her father. That day her grandparents picked her up, and so began the arrangements for the memorial, and what to do with Megan and everything that he owned. Throughout this entire process, Megan felt numb and non-responsive, trying not to believe that such news was true, while trying to admit to herself that it was. It was a very tough time for her, and it made her a very tough child to deal with for her grandparents, but they understood her feelings and new that it would take time for the news to sink in and for her to return to normal.

As Megan grew older, under the guardianship of her grandparents, they realized that she was having issues with the dark, and small places. They thought that perhaps it was the place of which they lived, so they tried moving to a different town to ease her fears. However, when they saw that it didn’t help very much, they decided that they were going to have to make a bigger change to try and help her pain. It took many days of discussion before they decided on trying to getting green cards for the US. Of course, her grandparents knew that Megan was going to need some help with the transition to America, especially since her English was a bit shoddy. They immediately enrolled her in speaking classes, thinking it might help her English issues, as well as help her future transition.

It took two years of English courses, and plenty of arrangements before her grandparents finally made the jump to America. It was certainly a rough start, especially for a young woman of 13, but Megan found her ways of coping. She found solace in rock music and sports, which her grandparents supported, and so began her life as a US citizen-to-be.

When Megan was 14, she was part of an accident that brought her mutant gene to life. She was riding her bike around the neighborhood in the late afternoon, when a drunk driver came barreling down the street straight towards her bike. Megan let out a scream, but she blacked out for a moment, soon finding herself twenty feet from where she was, her bike crumbled to pieces and the car plowed into a tree. Her heart was racing when she realized that the hair hanging in her face was not the dirty blonde that she was used to, but a bubblegum pink. It shocked her to say the least, but not nearly as much as the wings sprouting from her back. She screamed again, praying that the wings would disappear... And they did. Still in a shock, Megan ran home to her grandparents and related the story to them.

At first, they didn’t believe her, but when her wishing for the wings to come back to show them actually brought the wings forward, they had no choice but to believe her... Though her grandmother nearly had a heart attack. It wasn’t long after that, that someone approached her about Xavier’s. Her grandparents thought that it was a good idea and that she should take up the offer since it would be good for her new-found mutation. In response, her grandparents decided it was best to move close to the institute to be available in case she needed them for emotional support. After a month of planning and packing, Megan moved into Xavier’s and became one of their residents.

High school was a tough time for Megan, especially since people liked to make fun of her for having pink hair. A lot of people called her fake, a poser, because she dressed like a rocker but rocked pink hair. She often wanted to tell people that it was her real hair and to shove it, but she knew that that probably wasn't a good idea for her to do. Megan hated bottling up her emotions like that, but she decided to spend her time releasing her anger in other ways. She spent most of her high school days learning how to fight and how to maintain her mutation, as well as better herself with them. She's still working out the fine details of her flight, but she has gotten a good hold of her pixie dust. Megan still continues to work hard in everything she does, and has decided to take a few years off before college to save up money for tuition so her grandparents don't have to pay her way.
