![]() ![]() Play By:Takeshi Kaneshiro<div align=left> ![]() Full Name: Aeric Thompson (Legal Name), Jun Mao (Birth Name) Codename: Void Nicknames/Aliases: None to speak of, though his nannies liked to refer to him as “The Little Terror” Age: 19 Birthday: December 18 Ethnicity/Race: Chinese American Height: 5'9” Weight: 167lbs. Eyes: Brown Hair: Dark Brown/Black Features: ![]() Personality: Jun is the kind of person who views life like a chess match, standing silently out of the spotlight and plotting his next move. This is most likely a product of the self sufficiency he has taught himself through the years, and often makes him seem removed from the world around him. He is not, however, completely silent, as many have learned through experiencing his oft-times sharp tongue, though he is slow to true anger. He has little regard for any life other than his own and is willing to do what is “necessary” to get what he needs or wants, but this is not to say he is completely heartless, just that very few have ever made themselves worthy of being viewed as more than another pawn in his eyes. He also has a strange and secret obsession with death. ![]() Power Name: Molecular Level Gravity Manipulation Power Type: Physical Power Description: Jun is capable of manipulating the gravity fields produced by matter on a molecular level. He has learned to use this ability in a couple of ways. By increasing the gravitational “push” the object has against the world around it while decreasing the “pull” he can cause the object to hover, and by further altering the fields so that they push more in one direction than any other he can make the object move. He can also increase the “pull” and decrease the “push” to make an object heavier or completely immobile. Power weaknesses: Jun's abilities working on such a small scale makes it very difficult for him to affect larger objects as he must (subconsciously) alter the gravitation of each individual molecule in the object. Therefore larger objects require more work and energy. The largest item he has managed to manipulate at this time was a regular sized glass ashtray. While not very draining for him to simply move or levitate larger objects, doing so with them for long periods of time can be. This is one reason he prefers to use marbles and smaller ball bearings to work with. There is also a question of the range of effect. Jun must be able to see an object to focus his powers on it, so the item must stay within his visual range for him to effect it. Power Name: Black Hole Generation Power Type: Physical Power Description: Another way in which Jun has learned to use his powers is by increasing the gravitational field around a single molecule (or a small group of them) within an object so that it causes the object to essentially collapse in upon its self. He is capable of doing this to such a degree that the object will pull in so much that the density to mass ratio will flip on its head and become so unbalanced as to create a black hole. The size and power of the black hole is relative to the size of the object it was created from, but one formed from one of Jun's marbles is sufficiently powerful enough to bring a regular human being to a stop. It has been described as being like trying to walk into hurricane strength winds. Power weaknesses: At the moment Jun is incapable of creating more than one black hole at a time, though once it is fully formed it is fully self sustained until the molecules it was made from collapse to the point of implosion (takes three to five minutes for a marble black hole), or until it has pulled in more matter than it is capable of sustaining (around 120lbs. for a marble). While creating them, which takes anywhere from thirty seconds to three minutes depending on the mass of the object being used (about one minute twenty seconds for a marble) Jun is completely vulnerable as all of his attention must remain on the object lest the generation fail. If the process is cut short within the last stages of the generation when the gravitational field is first becoming unstable there can sometimes be a large “backlash” of gravity which will hurl any object within a few feet away with significant force. This could be viewed as a strength and another application of Jun's powers if it were not for the fact that it destabilizes whatever part of his mind controls the manipulations to the point that he becomes incapable of using his powers for an hour or two. Any mutant with the ability to effect gravity, especially upon themselves, is capable of resisting the effects of the black holes. When working along side others he must be careful where he places his black holes as they will pull all matter within their reach indescriminately regardless of affiliation. Power Name: Gravitational Immunity Power Type: Physical Power Description: Jun is somehow unaffected by the affects of his black holes. When one has formed and begins to pull at all matter within its reach he is still capable of moving about freely. ![]() Hometown/Birthplace: Pyongyang China Skills and Talents: Cunning, ruthless, and intelligent with some basic knowledge of self-defense. Occupation: Student, awaiting ownership of his father's company to be released to him from trust Education: Currently enrolled at Cambridge University Affiliation: Hellions Family: Wei and Xui Li Mao (birth parents), Martin Alexander Thompson III and Marissa Thompson (adoptive parents) Friends: None to speak of, was an outcast as a young child and became anti-social later Enemies: Anyone is a potential enemy History: Long before it became popular for actresses who wanted to put on a charitable face for the world to adopt children from other countries it was fairly common for the rich to do so for much the same reason. This is how Jun Mao came to be in America. The Thompsons, incapable of having a child of their own, decided to adopt, and why not get the most out of the act by making themselves look good at the same time by saving a child from some “harsh” foreign country? After viewing several photographs of children from actually impoverished areas of Asia they were about to give up on the idea when they discovered Jun. He had less stereotypical Asian facial features (though how they could decide this when he was an infant is beyond anyone) and since he was not, in fact, from a broken area of the country, but came from the city and parents in the business world who were unable to support a child he might actually prove an asset to the family some day. They adopted Jun, and as soon as he arrived they had his name legally changed to Aeric Thompson, to “help him fit in better with the other children.” The name change did not help. He was bullied and teased all throughout primary school for being born poor and being different and the various other reasons children at a private school might find to tease an outsider. As a result he became withdrawn and pushed himself into his studies. As he got older it began to turn him vengeful, malicious, and spiteful. He became a terror to the women who were hired to care for him and some of the other children at school. The worst of this came when his mutant abilities began to bloom. It started out as simple revenge pranks against his tormentors, but it soon bloomed into him causing bodily injury with the use of his powers. The staff could never prove that it was him or how he had done it, but it was made quite clear that he was no longer welcome at their school. From there he bounced from school to school for years before finally graduating at the top of his class from a boarding school in up-state New York. He went immediately from high school to university, enrolling at Cambridge Business School, in preparation of taking over his father's company when the now aged and ailing man finally passed. It was here that he began to truly hone his manipulative streak, by managing to pit fellow students against one another in order to distract them long enough for someone else to take the top spot in classes, though he rarely took that spot himself. He preferred to elevate an unlikely candidate to the coveted position to aid insult to injury in his efforts against those he found abhorrent or annoying. At the end of his first semester at the school his father found out about his actions thanks to one of his business partners having a self-centered son that Jun disliked at the school. When he arrived home the old man informed him that he would be having his will changed to pass the reigns of the company on to someone else until the young man straightened out his act. In a fit of indignant rage Jun launched a marble down the man's throat. His father died right before his eyes, at his own hands, and Jun felt alive. There was no remorse, he had never been close enough to his “parents” to care, just a strange type of excitement at having held the man's life in his hands and choosing what to do with it. The death was ruled as accidental, and the will was never changed, so for now Jun continues to attend Cambridge and waits on the trust that ownership of Thompson Electronics was placed in to close on his 21st birthday. ![]() Player Name (Or Net Handle if preferred): The fabled Jeremy, yes, I do exist Age: Old enough Contact Information: fivestringdeath@yahoo.com How you found the site: Ummm.....I was one of the founders of the site that the site that the site that this one came from came from. Writing Sample: If I need one I'll write something up, but it's still the same Jun, just rewrote his history because the old one wouldn't have fit with how he'll have to be recruited this time around with the plot reboot and everything. </div> |
