The conversation with feathers on the way back had both made him think and confused him, he needed to do something, something to get his mind off of things.

He was also toying with the idea of getting a bow, if only to stop his skills for growing rusty, after his last one was broken he’d been meaning to get a replacement one for a while but never seemed to have the chance and carrying it with him all the time would just cause a increase in the difficulty of certain activities.
So that was a bust, he needed something to occupy his time and while getting a job was a way of gaining money it was far too time consuming for his tastes. Getting scammed, ahem getting a loan dint really appeal to him nor did he have anything particular he wanted to use it for just yet.

There was helped the option of finding the local thieves guild and making some money that way, a bit of excitement helped as well, not to mention connections, connections where important.

It takes a while, as most people claim there is no rogues guild, this is a lawful city, the guards would root them out if there is one. However, after a long evening of searching you find in your pocket a note, all it does is give you a street in the merchants quarters. You are well aware that it is an alley, and no direct access to any of the stores near it, though there are some back doors in the area, as well, there doesn't seem to be anything else on the sheet of paper. what do you do?

Nick smirked, trust a thieves guild to find him rather than the other way around. He commended the efforts of the person in question....after quickly checking nothing had been stolen of course.
The fact he was wearing a throw away face helped to calm his nerves about this, he wasn’t quite suicidal to ask this information in the open after all.
He will however head towards the alley, keeping a eye out to see if he was being followed or if there was any surprises waiting for him.

what you see in front of you, is a stone paved alley there is grate on one side of the road with dirty brown water trickling in, the alley itself is filled with refuse, and you can smell it as well, on either side of the narrow alley are stone buildings, one of them has a door. There are several boxes stacked to one side, and you can see several scurrying insects as well.
