![]() The red dwarf star of Sabre is a cloaca of resources for the Aurelian Dominion. It stands as one of the more strategically important systems, exporting a quarter of the total foodstuffs and raw material output across the Emperor's territories. Officially, Sabre is one of the Dominion's core worlds, but it would take no mental giant to discern this. Containing a massive garrison and defense fleet to rival that of Monolith, it is clear that none shall pass if trespassing in this system. |

Zerzura![]() In writings dating back to the 13th Century (using the Gregorian calender) on Earth, Arabs spoke of an oasis in the Sahara desert west of the Nile and deep into Libya that was filed with plenty and was luscious. Many expeditions were launched, many failed, but a few claimed to find what they were looking for. When humans started to traverse the stars, they found what they were looking for at last. Zerzura is a harsh, windswept desert world with fertile river valleys that almost match the description of the myth. The rough climate of the planet, coupled with the uncomfortably longer day/night cycle, made for an excellent location to train soldiers bound for the Dominion Legions. The fertile river valleys have made an excellent location, in turn, for the mass production of agricultural products. Large shipments of grain, cereals, and other crops are regularly shipped to Monolith from Zerzura in order to help sustain the large population there with high quality foodstuffs. The regular population live in hives designed as pyramids, as the weather conditions are too dangerous to have free standing dwellings. This has caused Zerzura's society to be heavily insular, requiring a heavy-handed military presence to keep the populace in line. Oblivion![]() Located in the same system as Zerzura, the volcanic world of Oblivion is a rarity insofar as extraterrestrial planets discovered by humans go. It's orbital position places it in a massive asteroid belt that orbits the star, Sabre, forcing an almost incessant, rocky bombardment of its surface. Oblivion is classified as a protoplanet, which is odd considering the rest of the celestial bodies in the system have already formed and cooled. While the science is not perfect, theorists believe that Oblivion began formation as a planetary body much later, perhaps as a result of the stabilization of the asteroid belt and a freak accident of multiple planetoid collisions. It could also be postulated that the asteroid belt of Sabre was much larger as a result of this theory. Despite the harsh conditions, Oblivion is a prime location for mining, as the metals are already heated and only require separation from the molten rock before processing. Cities are typically constructed on the more hardened areas and defended by SAM missiles to avert asteroid bombardment. Pompeii, the erroneously named capital of Oblivion, is the largest of the planetside cities and serves as the central hub of mineral refinement and distribution to Monolith.
