![]() Seeing production, usage, and licensing spike in recent years after a slow initial roll out, Vass Aeronautics' Type 218 Shall Khad Armoured Freighter represents a different take on bulk transportation. Estimated to be roughly three times as expensive per cubic meter of hulking capacity compared to more traditional designs, the cost is not without its own benefits. Type 218s are well equipped for dealing with run-of-the-mill piracy that often plagues longer trade routes and areas that can ill-afford proper security and policing. A number of registered hulls have even been transformed into impromptu frigates by enterprising private interests, though they are still by no means a match for dedicated military vessel of equal tonnage. At present, the Type 218 serves as Vass Aeronautics 'hot commodity' with orders being purposefully limited due to export quotas and materials conservation.
