Acheron System

Home to the Orion March, Acheron System is a modest system with favorable trade routes (FTL paths) and only one terran-like planet, Veles. Veles has its own moon, Vespia. There is a single gas giant in the system, named Ades. The entirety of the system is enclosed by an asteroid belt which acts as a natural point of defense and for resources.

Veles

The capital of the Orion March, Veles is akin to Earth albeit a bit larger and more arid. When the initiative was searching for a suitable homeworld, it was decided Veles would appropriately meet their requirements. It was only by coincidence the colonists discovered favorable trade paths (FTL routes) that could minimize fuel costs.

Since its colonization, Veles has emerged as a powerful trade port for various entities in the Human Sphere. Its laissez-faire approach to commercial matters has made it a strong candidate for business, as well as activities in other illicit affairs and businesses.

Due to its position between Thesia and the Dominon, Veles is a hotbed for espionage.

Vespia

The moon to Veles, Vespia serves primarily as a storage facility. Due to the sheer volume of cargo passing through Vespia, criminal activity on the moon is among the highest in the entire Human Sphere. Noticeable past incidents included human trafficking, narcotics trafficking and so forth.

It is common saying, "customs on Vespia has looser morals than a nightclub on Veles."

Ades

A lone gas giant in the system, Ades is sparsely populated - officially. For those conducting illegal research projects or arms manufacturing, Ades provides the perfect cover. An unusual feature of Ades is the "thickness" of its atmosphere rendering many surveillance devices worthless. Another feature is its rolling ionic storms which - if not properly shielded - produce miniaturized EMPs that could theoretically disable large capital ships.

Once again, despite a strong domestic security force, there has been numerous incidents on Ades lately mostly involving instances of corporate malfeasance.
