![]() TP-227 (Q-221) is a former planet held by the Continuum of Perses now designated under Quarantine. As a result, it has lost designation and is simply known as Q-933, the 221st planet put under quarantine. Human explorers have designated the planet as TP-227, or Terran Planet 227 and as a result has attracted various explorers and scouts. Q-221 under official Continuum records was known as Vistula. It was a thriving, metropolitan world in the Outer Ring and was arguably the last major settlement before reaching the Golden Boundary. Vistula became one of the key planets revolting against the Continuum during "the Event" and as a result became an frontline planet overnight. As the situation for the Continuum grew increasingly desperate, it resorted to various biological and chemical weapons. Those leading the Continuum opted for severe subjugation tactics as means of suppressing revolt. Vistula, being home to the Confederacy of the Vistulan Pale was their first target. ![]() After several months of "pacification", the damage was done. Vistula was transformed into a wasteland several times over. It was then Continuum scientists noticed something different - the weapons the Continuum used on Vistula began to have an adverse effect on the spacetime of the Universe, potentially destabilizing it. Like Vistula, planets in the Q-200 designation and above exhibited similar patterns and as a result the Continuum sealed all documents relevant to these anomalies and its weapons stockpile of these weapons quietly decommissioned. Those within the Empire never saw resolution to the "insurrection in the Vistulan Pale" and it was assumed victory was achieved. Human explorers centuries later have designated the planet as TP-227 due to initial scans indicating the planet is potentially habitable for human colonists. The "Dead Zone" in particular has attracted various expeditionary parties due to the frequency of cosmic anomalies and the inability of deep range scanners to properly identify planets. This zone is also referred as the "Space Bermuda", an homage to the Bermuda Triangle formerly located on Old Earth. |
