Memories Are Eternal; Kijo vs. Molly

[We cut to the interior of... a school auditorium. Two chairs are set up on the stage, a spotlight shining down on both. Backstage interviewer Joe Koss sits in one chair, facing the camera.]

JOE KOSS: Hello Pitt wrestling fans, this is Joe Koss bringing you an exclusive interview with the one and only Kijo.

[And indeed, sitting in the chair across from him, is the ever dangerous Kijo, clad in her plague cloak. The hood is drawn up over her head, but we can still see her pale face and cold, black eyes. And it appears that she is not too happy at the moment.]

KIJO: I specifically requested to speak with Kennedy Michelle Chambers.

[The husky Joe Koss shifts restlessly in his chair.]

JOE KOSS: Yes, well... it seems she has come down with the flu; especially after hearing that you wanted this to take place in the old abandoned Larimer School auditorium. Speaking of which though...

[He gestures around with his hands.]

JOE KOSS: Why here?

[Kijo flashes a toothy grin in reply; dried blood from her match with Melinda Rhodes still crisscrossing her pale visage.]

KIJO: What better place is there? It's quiet and has good lighting.

[Joe looks up at the buzzing spotlight overhead as it lets out a loud spark.]

JOE KOSS: Yeah... I guess...

[He looks back down at Kijo.]

JOE KOSS: You haven't washed the blood from your face yet after your match with Melinda Rhodes; why?

[Kijo lifts her head to gaze deep into Joe's eyes.]

KIJO: Why... does it unnerve you; or creep you out, as Dominic Price says?

[Joe shifts in his chair again, causing it to creak under his 260 pound frame.]

JOE KOSS: Well uh...

[Kijo nods her head once, seemingly pleased by his response. She cuts him off, not allowing him to finish answering her question.]

KIJO: Good. What better message to send than one which shows just how serious I am? This blood, these wounds... they're only superficial. Rhodes threw all she had at me, yet here I am. The blood dries, and the wounds heal, but memories are eternal. Rhodes tells her friends of the war she had with me, still grasping at her windpipe, hoping the passage is clear of all blockage. But she will never forget that feeling of helplessness, that gift of knowing her life was [lifts her gloved mitts] in my hands. The memory lives on in Adroit and O'Hatherine, as well as all who they meet and who learn this tale.

[Joe repositions himself in his chair, sitting up straight and tall.]

JOE KOSS: Over the course of the past few shows, you've targeted Mallory Adroit, Joel Edwards, Kennedy Chambers, then Melinda Rhodes on the last show and now Molly O'Hatherine. What message, if any, do you have for the Ginger Ninja?

[Kijo leans back in her chair, a smirk playing across her pale lips.]

KIJO: Sacrifice. Melinda Rhodes survived because she was allowed to survive. O'Hatherine...

[That smirk widens into a wicked grin.]

KIJO: ...Will not!

JOE KOSS: I hope for her sake that you're wrong, but would you mind elaborating on that?

[Kijo chuckles at the query.]

KIJO: Certainly. First you plant the seed of fear. Nurture it, and allow it to grow and spread. Show Mallory that her friends are at risk - starting with Joel, then Kennedy. Next, show one of her closest confidants the extents I am willing to go. The word of a skilled combatant in her ear is so much more powerful than that of seeing helpless souls lead to the slaughter. Finally, sacrifice O'Hatherine in her name. Make her witness first hand the carnage that I am prepared to unleash.

[Joe shifts in his chair again. Clearly this is an uncomfortable topic for him.]

JOE KOSS: What do you mean [makes finger quotes] "in her name"?

[Kijo lifts a gloved hand to her head, drawing back the hood of her plague cloak, revealing those black painted eyes, as well as the full extent of the dried blood covering her face - the healing wounds on her forehead.]

KIJO: Make no mistake about it, this is _all_ for Mallory Adroit. The coward has not seen fit to bring the fight to me yet, to stop me from hurting every last soul she calls friend in this company. So all that I have done is in her name. She has two choices. Either fight me once more, or watch as her family and friends are destroyed one by one. I've spent these last few weeks working on her friends, so guess who will be next on my list?

[She pauses for a beat. Joe just lets her continue.]

KIJO: And as for O'Hatherine...

[She cackles evilly, sending a subconscious chill down Joe's spine.]

KIJO: The games are over. I will not be toying with you like I did with your friend Rhodes. You're going to find that everything Rhodes told you is true...

[She flashes that evil grin.]

KIJO: Though... I'm afraid she doesn't know the half of it. The snarling, frothing, putrid maw of Hell is wide open, O'Hatherine; and you're standing on the precipice - on the verge of being sucked in. There will be no mercy for you. _None_. All that you know, all that you heard, all that you can POSSIBLY IMAGINE!...

Will pale in comparison to the nightmare that will shroud your world in darkness! And when I'm done, O'Hatherine; when they carry you from the ring, shoved into the back of a waiting ambulance...

[The spotlight overhead crackles and burns out, plunging the scene into near darkness. The camera focuses in on Kijo's now darkened visage.]

KIJO: The memory of your horrible demise will live on for eternity as well.

JOE KOSS: Well I guess lights out means that's a wrap. Thank you very much for your time, Kijo.

[The shadowy figure rises to her feet along with Joe.]

KIJO: Show yourself out.

[And with that, we fade to... not black! NOT BLACK!]
