Tora Solgaard - Time to wake up sweetheart
Topic Started: Nov 10 2015, 02:03 PM (32 Views)
Rob
[We open up inside a dark room filled with several nail boards hanging down from the ceiling on lengths of hemp rope. Standing in the center is a woman sporting a black sports bra, loose fitting pants, elbow pads, and hand tape. Her dark brown hair is tied into a tight ponytail and as the camera gets closer, we see dozens of gouging scars littering her back. She speaks with a rough, dry voice, hinting at throat damage. She slowly looks over her shoulder, revealing a bit of her scarred face.]

...The name is Puma Rhyse. I've been wrestling for fifteen years now, but this is my first time in front of an American camera. From my home of Banff, Alberta, Canada to the pits of Calcutta, I've seen the world and been awed by the level of pain and torment a human body can endure. I rarely got my hand raised in victory, but my opponents would respect me for giving them one hell of a time in the process.

[She turns to face the camera and we can see the signs of premature aging on her face. The left side of her face shows faint burn scars along with a mutilated ear, a jagged rip scar across her throat, half an eyebrow missing, and a few slash scars across her forehead. Her left eye has a slight glaze to it and it's uncertain as to whether it's fully functioning or not. This is the face of a woman who has been to hell and back.]

This match is only my second match in the United States, my first being a joke nobody watched. I was reminded of it when I watched Tora Solgaard's debute against a little spazz of a girl named "Nerd Rage" Tammy Jay. Yes, fifteen years ago, I was that girl flailing her fists at someone much stronger and tougher than her. Time heals old wounds and opens new ones. Tora, this will not be a walk in the park for you. I am just as strong and just as tough as you are and the only thing you have going for you is that there are rules in this match.

[Puma presses her hands together, cracking her knuckles softly.]

Without rules, I know I'd beat the hell out of you. I'd turn that pretty little face into something more like mine. You'd be dragged away with dollar bills stapled to your ass cheeks and barbwire wrapped so thick in your hair that you'd end up having all that pretty hair shaved off. Do you know why I put myself forward to face you at this very last second, little Miss Thing? Because you did to Tammy Jay what was done to me. It wasn't the defeat. It was the scoffing looks and disrespect you showed her.

Just because someone is beneath you doesn't make them less than you. Remember we all started somewhere and it's how you treat the little ones as they grow that determines how you get treated as you sink. One day, you will get old, you will be frail, and you will have to answer to that little peon you mistreated as she grows into something stronger and eventually better than you.

I'm your wake up call, Tora Bora. I'm going to drop bombs on you like a B-17 until you crumble... and please... bring that holier than thou attitude with you on the 16th. I wanna' choke you on it.

[With that, Puma backs up into the darkness, the scene fading to black.]
