AFTER EPISODE #6 “Hush, little baby, don’t say a word. Mama’s going to kill the whole damn world.” Clutched in JJ Brine’s bloodstained hands was her coveted Pitt Championship, Todd. The scooter that she had taken rested on the corner of the alleyway she entered. It had run dry, stopping her dead in the middle of nowhere essentially. JJ had gone and bought a blanket, opting to brave the cold night. With all of the shenanigans going on, JJ had become paranoid. She was fatigued. Her eyes were sunken in. Her makeup skills had deteriorated, showing off the raw trauma that she had suffered in the past month. Her hair was a mess, covering her face. The combination of it all made JJ look as deranged as the Pitt had illustrated her to be. Yet, she seemed to be happy. She cradled the championship, covering it up. She made sure no one could catch a glimpse. For there will be more thieves, they’d have to find her. “It’s you that they seek. So Mama’s going to break in their fucking teeth.” Her song echoed among the empty corridor. Her voice was low, registering tones of dreariness. She fell out, allowing all of the madness to catch up with her. One thing remained. She held that belt closer to her, not caring for its cold steel negating her tiny amount of warmth. “Juno, what is that you’re holding?” That was a gloomy day. JJ held the day close to her heart, but only to remind herself of the pain. The world had grown dark at this point. The freedom she was given was a double edged blade. This time, the world pushed the blade back inside of her. It cut her deep, instilling the true meaning of the world. HIS voice resonated in her thoughts, beginning to paint the setting. It was a dying forest. Darkened leaves covered the ground, surrounded by lifeless and naked trees. JJ sat on a stump, cradling something. She wore a white dress, drenched in crimson. Makeup ran down her face, along with trickles of blood. “It’s our baby, Max.” HE sputtered, not understanding. A tall man with long black hair crept up to JJ. He wore a tuxedo. His tie was loosened up, dirt covered him. “Our baby? What do you mean that’s just a bloody—“ JJ held something that bled all over her. The man’s eyes widened. “Wait. What the fuck?” He fell over, scared shitless from seeing what JJ held in her arms. “Someone killed our baby.” JJ woke up almost immediately, stopping the night terror. She woke up in the daylight. The light probably forced her awake. She rubbed her eyes before peering down at the Pitt Championship. It left a lingering pain in her sternum. She heaved Todd up. “It was only a nightmare. This is real. You’re real.” Obviously, the championship did not reply, but its silence made JJ smile. She got up and dusted herself off. She abandoned the blanket, not caring who or what got a hold of it. “You’re my child. My one and only,” her words came out forlorn. She peered around, getting herself back on guard. A random homeless person would truly enjoy all the money they would get. JJ crept out, stretching. “Another day of defending you, Todd. Soon, you’ll be all mine.” She was well-rested this time around. Unlike previous sights of JJ Brine, the fair maiden look had returned to the screen. She even had a big smile on her face. The light pouring in through the slits in the window. The room she was in was decorated with plenty of lightly toned flowers. The soft hum of birds also picked up over the audio feed. On a pedestal, the Pitt Championship sat, with a flower crown resting on top of it. JJ retrieved one herself before placing it on her head. With a soft smile, she turned to the camera. “Todd and I match,” she stated, patting the championship lovingly. “It seems to me that the world wasn’t strong enough to hold me down. They sent all sorts of degenerates to try to take my baby from me, but it all was for naught. So when they came to the conclusion that they couldn’t take this belt from me, what did they do?” “They finally listened,” a low giggle escaped the madwoman. “I find it so hilarious that the entire roster tried to take Todd from me and they couldn’t get the job done. What makes it funnier is that no one gave me an OUNCE OF RESPECT for doing so. I outsmarted all of you, you know. You had all your plans. You had all of your hate and anger and led you all to fighting each other and allowing me to escape.” JJ swept a hand through her hair; she grabbed it for a moment, sighing out. “The Pitt speaks to me, you know. She tells me all kinds of things. She told me how to escape. She told me that getting in the ring with Valykrie wouldn’t bode well for me. She told me all the plans that everyone had. SHE TOLD ME HOW TO ESCAPE IT ALL. I used to think that the Pitt was simply another presence in my mind, coinciding with my conscience, but then I realized something.” “I AM THE PITT!” JJ roared, glaring intently into the camera. “I know what is best for this place. I pull all the strings. I make everything happen. I am the ALPHA AND THE OMEGA OF THIS COMPANY. And you will acknowledge it one day. One day, you’ll pray to me to help you out. I’ve helped Hannah Kristian. I’ve helped Sebastian DeBlanc. I even spared Brandi Blaze from all of this. Breaking her hand was the best thing that I could ever do for her.” “And now…” she paused, taking a sharp breath. “Everyone decided to take note of what I said. I only want the best for us. People come to watch the bloodshed. Hence why I’ve started a war in the Pitt. I might be everyone’s target, but with all the egotism running through the veins of the roster, it was only a matter of time.” “All I had to do was duck one punch to watch Ursula the Sea Witch and the Biggest Idiot, Valkyrie, go at it. They needed to. Everyone here is fighting one another and it’s all so FUCKING BEAUTIFUL. And by everyone, I mean, EVERYONEEEEE!” she echoed Gary Oldman’s performance in Leon, The Professional with that screech. “Pizza deliverers, makeup artists, even some Ace’s posse tried to get at me, and they all felt good. Because they listened to that primal fury that lingered inside of them.” “And I thought I wouldn’t get a reward, but when there is a will, there is a way. When the higher ups listened to me, they began to think properly for the first time since the Pitt came into existence,” JJ fixed the flower crown, resting upon Todd’s head, grinning slightly. “DeBlanc and his little friend gave everyone what they wanted. They gave the ‘real’ champion, Kayla, a chance to take what she thinks is her belt back. They gave that idiot, Valkyrie, a chance to prove herself to her non-existent gods and her shithole of an academy how ‘good’ she is.” “But they’ve given me a chance to alleviate all the wrongdoings they’ve been doing to me. When I win this match, everyone will not have a choice in saying that I’m the true Pitt Champion. I’d have taken the statistic away from Kayla Livingstone. Then everyone will have to understand that me stealing the championship was simply me doing something polite.” “It was all a farce. Me losing to Kayla Livingstone. Me stealing this championship. All of it. I played you all like a fiddle. Now I just have to break said fiddle at the end of the show. I’m going to break it into pieces and then set them all on fire!” JJ laughed heavily, before catching herself. A tiny glimpse of the unpredictable monster crept out for a hair. “I’ve been defending this championship for eons now. You know how many defenses I’ve accumulated? Twenty-two times. Twenty-two people have come to take Todd away from me,” she lifted Todd from its resting place. “Twenty-two people have found themselves bloodied and miserable.” “Now two more will be added to that growing list.” “I’m disappointed in Kayla Livingstone. She is the one that truly kicked off all of the affairs that has transpired recently. She had more of a right to take this belt than anyone of the other idiots did. Because as much as I will say that I am the champion, the record books states that she is the current champion. Not JJ Brine. To say that I expected more from her is an understatement. I thought she would be the one person that I couldn’t fool so easily, because…she…” JJ twitched, halting her expression. “She beat me.” JJ ran off camera for a moment. You could hear audible gagging. JJ came back, looking less than savory. However, she managed to catch a grip and readjusted. “Unlike the whole thing with Hannah where I had already set my plan to take what is mine in motion, Kayla stopped me. She stopped God for just a moment. However, that was then. This is now,” JJ smirked. “I have truly ascended now. I have made this championship important. I made a fool out of you now. Everyone forgets that you’re the champion. Everyone is actually starting to believe that I was the champion from the get-go. So what does that say about you? It says that you are a fraud. Your time here was pointless. You wasted so much space and caused so much noise only to go mute when it really mattered. Was it the fear of not being able to take Todd away crippling you?” “Did you even believe you were really the champion?” JJ shook her head. “In any case, your ‘reign’ comes to an end. You may be in the history books, but soon everyone will forget. I have effectively erased your victory from everything. You never had a chance to hold the championship. You only had the satisfaction of making it to the end. Even when you won, you really only won second place.” “It’s a crying shame, Kayla. You were meant to be the hero, but you never stepped up. This match was given to you out of pity. DeBlanc and his bitch remembered that you had some importance in this match. So here you are. It’s even sadder than you’re going to die for such a pathetic cause.” “To reiterate for you, Kayla.” JJ cleared her throat. “Your reign is going to end without you ever holding your championship. You are going to die because you were pushed into affairs that you no longer have a place in. But hey,” JJ winked, “I’ll remember because you are the catalyst to the greatest thing to ever happen here. Congratulations.” JJ took off Todd’s flower crown, throwing it off. “My other opponent doesn’t deserve a grain of pity from anyone.” “Valkyrie, how does it feel to be the biggest idiot to ever exist? Honestly, your stupidity probably spread to everyone else. Maybe that is why it was so easy to fool everyone, because of you. You will bitch and moan about how you’re not one, but you are.” “You wandered in here after your pathetic run in another company, thinking that you had some stake to anything here. You pushed your way into every single thing, thinking you had the right to. Lastly, you think that this championship is yours for the taking. Little girl, you don’t know a damn thing about anything. YOU REALLY ARE AN IDIOT.” “You came from a shit academy, the Omega Academy. I’ve heard about that insolent place. It’s a breeding ground for only bad people, but for shit wrestlers. You all are so damn pretentious about it as well. That’s what is so irritating about you. You’re worse than Ursula. She’s boring, yes, but she’s not uppity. She just has a bit of an ego. Nothing wrong with that,” JJ said, waving it off with a friendly expression. “But you…” the expression turned grave. “You think because you got yourself an education in wrestling that you have the right to try to steal from an ACTUAL GOD? That’s so pathetic that it makes me sick. You people that get so caught up in being wrestlers are so infuriating.” “I wouldn’t want you to become champion in other places, but at least there you’re in the right. Here in the Pitt, who said that your kind have privilege? This isn’t a wrestling federation. THIS IS A HELLHOLE WHERE MONSTERS REIGN. We’re here to maim each other. We’re here to bathe in blood. If someone doesn’t leave with a concussion every week, there’s a problem!” “Valkyrie, I told you that I was going to show you the true meaning of the Pitt. It starts with me beating you to a bloody pulp. You think I’m a coward, because I didn’t fight you. I didn’t fight you for several reasons. I said one was simply because I didn’t want to get attacked the whole way there. The second and the most important, I DID IT FOR YOU!” “You ungrateful worm, I didn’t come down there because I didn’t want to hurt you just yet. I was being merciful. But no, that Omega Academy mentality makes you are always right. That pious attitude you got also makes you believe that I cheated you with the pepper spray and the handcuffs. Valkyrie, that was the least of things that I could’ve done to you. You were trying to take my head and take Todd from me. I could’ve ruined you for life.” “Man, it’s a funny sight to see a 6’1” woman paralyzed from the neck down.” “I’m not going to win this match through dubious means, no, no. I have to show everyone that JJ Brine isn’t some coward, because people like you, Valkyrie, has painted me that way. I have never been a coward. Not at all. I came into the Pitt and fought everyone head on. So I just need to remind all of you that isn’t who I am. I am a vengeful deity.” “Because honestly, where did you get this idea?” JJ fiddled in his pockets, bringing forth something in her hand. She examined it, squinting while she did. “Is it because I stole something? Ha, do you really think that’s why? I did all that and let you know it was me. I don’t think that’s cowardice. That’s more brave than anything you’ve ever done in your whole life, Valkyrie. The only thing you’ll do that will rival my bravery as of late is walking down the ramp to fight me.” “So you can take all of your honor, all of your Gods, your whole school, and anything else you hold there and bring it to my feet. It’ll all end up like this beautiful garden,” JJ revealed that it was a lighter she held. With a flick, she threw the flame down. The once beautiful landscape went up in flames. “Dying in a blaze of glory. Just like what your ‘gods’ want you to.” JJ, amidst the flames, peered down at Todd. “Let’s go, baby. I don’t want you to get hurt by all of this.” She stepped out of the blaze, leaving the camera to die a horrible death. |
