Well I would like a mixture of the two aspects to combine the positive aspects of a faction (we can buy an own system and got more rights and maybe better ships) and the loose afflication (we have not such a strict codex orstrikt rules but we still work together as one group). Also the major points of making money were named but I want to bring up my idea of a black market system all over Sirius.

I think the biggest and best Black Market must become Puerto Rico and because of this fact we have to buy this system (so we need to become a real faction) and we have to built up Puerto Rico (like alredy mentioned before = everything can be sold and bought).
We also need (later on) better ships to defend our borders against bounty hunters and xeno crap. But to come back the main point another big black market must become Rochester because most of the lawfull players want tobuy weapons or sell weapons near Manhattan and rochester is not far away.
The trade runs would be a great idea also the protection (escorts) of smugglers).
I also like the idea of pirating for goods/weapons and not for money.
And another idea how to make money is to hide persons in Puerto Rico who are chased by bountyhunters or we could even sell informations or deliver goods for other players.

These are hundrets of great possibility of a better and greater RP on the server. So the main point of being a Junker is making money or buying influence with money. Because of that I truly beliefe we must create this faction.

Kingmax: I think buying a system (if we decide to) would be a long term goal, since we need a significant supply of cash to do it. The faction would have to be pretty built up by then.

Since version 4.85 of Discovery is under development, how about adding a suggestion to the developers to make Puerto Rico useful by adding proper ships and commodities there? It should be a good selling spot for most stuff, though not too good obviously, but certainly a place to go to when you have a load of cargo and don't know what to do with it.

I don't think that trade routes are allowed to be added to faction-owned systems, unfortunately; which, aside from not having the required numbers, meant that there wasn't much point in {SU} owning a system.

Hi,

(It's going to be a bit long, I post all my thoughts, ideas in 1 shot.)

In general I do not agree giving a system to all clans in Sirius.
Every RP world must have it's own reality, and to be honest I think in Discovery we have already crossed the border. Some clans are almost as strong (resources, ships, weapons etc) as a house like Liberty or Bretonia etc
But OK, let's face it, this is the Discovery Reality...

Junkers having an own system? Sure they could buy one on long term, that's not a problem.
Which one, how would it look like?

[Short intermezzo:
To me Junkers are a bit like the Italian Maffia.
They are a family, which controls important areas, and knows the right people for the right task.
They do everything, they are involved in everything (lawful and unlawful) but officialy they do not do anything illegal - the dirties stuff they simply delegate. ]

So in my world Junkers would have two faces:
*(common) Junkers work in the normal systems in debris fields, operating the bases, smuggling and probaly pirating etc.
* then in their own (home) system it is everything normal bright and fancy, and nothing at all junky. That's their home, they can invite there the Bretonian Queen - they are very well mannered. Of course they are only the clan leaders remotely running the business: they just give orders and collect the profit...
Also, their most trusted forces (let's call them Junker Guards) would fly quite normal ships, the most advanced - available for money - VHFs (something from the neutral Zoners at best). Not bigger, because those bosses are cultured, and maintain a civilised look - they do not maintain any army (no cap ships) but some most effective fighter wings. (+ naturaly they have some modified luxury liner for their trips - also bought from the best source available)

=> I wouldn't grand real big shipyards to Junkers, only something where they can fix their crappy CSVs and similar together.

Whether it is Puerto Rico or not, doesn't matter. Igiss will never establish a trade route through a "private" system, not to say several of them.
Still, we should try to establish a base as a the "garage sale" or "flea market" of Sirius - probably Bornholm.

What came to my mind as an RP improvement of the mod and profit to us would be a change in collectiong Scrap Metal: If a Junker tractors in some Scrap Metal, there could be a chace that it "transforms" into something useful electro-technical gadget (weapons, ammo, artifact or any techno commodity - on purpose also contraband). For sure, small chance or rather limited range of goods (weapons < level 5) etc but I guess it would be possible to implement in the mod and would improve RP for us.
(Something similar could be to transform a tractored Pilot into a Slave for those flying under SlaverID, but then slaves should be more expensive...)

These are only my thoughts,

just registered and trying to keep up with all the ideas. Let me sort this out in my head and I will post mine as well.

My junker characters are now:

JevoixTous (needs to be changed from smuggler ID to junker ID)
Surcouf (Reputation recently fixed)
