"Donovan Davenport is six feet, eight inches, 285 pounds of pure power."

The scene opens on darkness. There is a voice talking to us, but we can't see the face or body of the man speaking to us.

"A Marine's primary objective in any combat situation is to defuse the threat, is to resolve the conflict by any means necessary. And Corporal Davenport has access to many tools to incapacitate enemy combatants."

Donovan is seen training with other Marines, presumably in basic MCMAP--that is, Marine Corps Martial Arts Program--techniques. There's one that seems to be relatively popular among this group of Marines; it's known as the Reap, and is basically a strategic leg sweep. Most of the fighters are doing outside sweeps, but a few of them go for inside reaps, particularly on the much larger Davenport.

"The first and most obvious tool is his physical presence. He doesn't meet many opponents that are his size, and even when he does, they are rarely in the peak of physical condition that the Marine Corps training regimen demands."

We see, let's be honest, a slightly gratuitous shot of Donovan working out with no shirt on, revealing the physique that our narrator has alluded to. Perhaps more important to our purposes than how well-defined his is is the fact that he's in the process of benching more weight than anyone in the tournament weighs, and that's not including whatever the bar weighs.

"When his size fails to intimidate an opponent, he can simply use that superior size to batter his opponent into submission."

Donovan is laying into a heavy bag, and by the sound of the loud thwacks and smacks, if any of those punches or the occasional kick were to land on a flesh bag instead, the person wearing it would be in quite a lot of trouble.

"When met with an opponent quick and agile enough to evade his heavy strikes, he can wear down the opposition with subduing holds."

Donovan has a training partner in the ubiquitous Sleeper Hold. The montage shows several shots of the sleeper hold, some standing, some grounded with a body scissor. Then some other shots are peppered in with him using various Judo-inspired takeovers that lead into armbars or the famous reversal of an attack from the rear into the rolling knee bar.

"But by far, his favorite method of imposing his will and defeating his opponents is to use their own momentum against them. Once they've realized that they need a running start to do any lasting damage to him, well..."

There is one last montage of people charging at Donovan, only for him to charge back, scooping them up and spinning in the air before they both come crashing down to the mat with a splat, Donovan driving the opponents into the canvas with authority.

"But don't let that fool you. This is hardly an exhaustive list, and one of a Marine's most valuable skills is learning to adapt to the situation.

In other words...don't come crying to me if you get beaten when he does something you don't expect, or something not quite within the confines of a perfectly legal professional wrestling match.

But hey, what do I know?"

The camera finally reveals the image of the person speaking, an older Caucasian gentleman with graying hair dressed in a trenchcoat. Those fans who might have knowledge of Donovan's career up to this point, particularly ones who are familiar with Big Bad Buck Dempsey, will know that this man is definitely NOT Buck Dempsey.

"I'm just some guy you've never heard of. But whether you trust me or not, Donovan is bringing the fight to Japan, and he's doing it for just one reason: to bring home that hundred grand.

Don't believe me? Show up expecting a clean, competitive wrestling match. See what happens."

The older gentleman smirks at the camera, and the scene fades to black.
