I’ve really been enjoying the show recently as well. There have obviously been certain episodes or stories that haven’t exactly set the screen slight but I think at the moment the show is really exciting with lots going on and lots of stories building up. Considering it’s Summer there is still a lot of material worth watching. I imagine that by Autumn the show will truly be firing on all cylinders.

http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/emmerdale/feature/a860311/emmerdale-trans-transgender/

"Trans actress Nicole Richards – who was in the running to play EastEnders' first trans character – believes this is the case"

Did we know this? I think this is the first time I've heard it.

I can’t believe EastEnders had the opportunity to really break stigmas and to tell big powerful and current stories... and they gave us Kyle Slater instead.

I don't know what show you were watching but duck lasagne is a very taboo issue in our society- kudos to the show for having the guts to explore this in a society dominated by beef lasagne.

I think it’s interesting that people have seen that story in that way. If anything, my interpretation has been quite the opposite. Obviously Stuart has been championing this idea however we’ve all seen the damaging and dangerous side of the coin as well. Mick is a character that is generally quite well known and popular with the general audience and we’ve seen him oppose the hunts, as well as seen the effects they’ve had on his character.

I feel it's a bit premature for this sort of article. The story will obviously reach a conclusion that shows Stuart's actions aren't the right way to deal with such things and are actually very damaging. We've already seen some of the consequences of it with Mick and Linda. I expect there will be a much darker fallout at the end of it all.

The worst part of this storyline, has been the constant and repetitive overuse of the star of the show Danny Dyer. When you think about every big story of the year so far, it has involved Mick in a large capacity. The show's constant favouritism of him is off putting. It might not be so bad, if Dyer could act. His domination of the show for the past five years has been unprecedented and unpleasant.

Disagree. Danny Dyer may not be Robert Di Niro but he can certainly do well with the material that he is given. I’m also not seeing where he’s been so dominating when he only crops up in stories regarding his own family circle, this stabbing and vigilante storylines are the only ones in recent memory where the focus has been on him - and these made sense due to being traumatised after seeing Keegan in that state and, unfortunately, failing to realise Shakil was also stabbed, and his link to Stuart.
