Mick questions Stuart about what he found on his phone. How will Stuart explain himself?

Meanwhile, Kim has a scan after her collapse and is assured that the baby is fine.

Elsewhere, although Hunter admits his lies to Mel, he still denies taking the money. Hunter gets frustrated when Mel struggles to believe him and he later blames Louise for exposing his secrets to his mum.

Later on, Mel threatens Phil by warning that she could tell Sharon about their kiss. Phil is so spooked that he eases the pressure on Mel over the missing money, telling her that she can pay it out of her wages for the next two years. However, Sharon has her own plans as she tells Phil that Hunter stole the money.

Also today, Arshad and Masood want to get close to businessman Habib Hussein. They decide to go through his daughter by contacting her through a dating website.

There's so many layers to Mel and Hunter's relationship and I'm glad that they're such a prominent part of the show, EastEnders really has something special going on here.

I’d have never called for a Mel return before as her story was pretty much done, but she is absolutely fabulous isn’t she? Mel as the mother is such a fabulous development of her character.

I don't understand Hunter at all. Which is good, I guess.

I can’t believe how much I love Mick and Linda these days.

Tamzin Outhwaite is great. :)

Steve and Mel were very much my favourites when I was in sixth form and it feels as though 2018 Mel is a pretty accurate continuation of 2002 Mel. The same can't be said for 1995 Michelle and 2016 Michelle albeit that had the disadvantage of being a recast but that shouldn't have stopped the ability to stay true to the character's characterisation.
