A mysterious envelope is delivered to Stacey's with a key inside. The Slaters realise that it's for Charlie's cab and Hayley decides that she's going to get it up and running again, convinced that it could be a big money-spinner. Her resolve increases when Keanu reveals that it could be worth around £10,000.

Hayley ends up visiting The Arches to look for tools, flirting with Keanu in the hope of distracting him. When Phil arrives and sees the pair together, he humiliates Hayley. Livid over how Phil spoke to her, Hayley goes ahead and steals the tools without anyone noticing.

Later on, Keanu apologises to Hayley for not defending her in front of Phil – still not realising that she's stolen the tools and had an ulterior motive for flirting with him in the first place.

Meanwhile, Max helps Masood with Harley, hoping that Masood will give him a reference to support his custody bid for Abi. However, after speaking to Mariam about what he should do, Masood refuses to help Max.

As Max grows more desperate, he offers Karen £200 in exchange for a character reference, but she's disgusted when she realises that it's for custody of baby Abi and refuses to help. Next on Max's list is Carmel, but she also vows not to get involved and gives him some harsh home truths.

Elsewhere, Stuart tells Mick that he wants his help. Stuart points out that he's not a vigilante as there's no violence involved with what he does. Will Mick decide to support Stuart with his future efforts?

Also today, Patrick questions Ted on why he didn't use the money that he sent him to pay for Joyce's funeral. Ted admits that he never received the money. Ted ends up accusing the Taylors of stealing the cash and tells them that he wants nothing more to do with them. However, Bernie realises that Mitch was the one who really took the money.

Rainie is brilliant but even she can’t save the Max storyline.

Custody battles just aren’t interesting, especially not featuring the most tired of the decade.

I was really hoping that Rainie had written those Father's Day cards herself.

EastEnders addressing vigilante justice paedophile groups and teenage stabbings is the most they’ve had their finger on the pulse for a while.

Masood has 4 children, why are they acting like he's inept looking after babies.
