Simon Norman is standing out as one of Yorke's better writer appointments. Always enjoy his work - both on EE and Holby City. Decent enough episode. I quite enjoyed all the stuff with the Slaters and Charlie's cab - nothing earth-shattering but it was a nice little character-driven piece. It was probably the highlight of tonight for me actually. I'm looking forward to The Wrath of Cora when it eventually happens. That should be fun. |

I need Stuart to move onto another level of psycho so I can invest again, him and Mick being on/off every 5 seconds is tedious now. I loved the Slaters scenes so much. I miss Charlie. |

I wouldn't mind Jay getting dragged into the Stuart story if it's written well and we get some decent exploration into his character and the consequences of the Linzi stuff. But if he ends up miserable and damaged again while remaining thoroughly under-explored by the writers, I'll be irritated. Either way, at least Jamie Borthwick would get a chance to shine I guess. If he does get dragged into it, I'd very much like one of your ideas from the General Chatter thread to follow up from it- the public gossip about his reputation could lead him into the arms of a lover that abuses him, perhaps? (Though not Hayley as I like her too much to see her turn into an abuser). Or alternatively, he finds another lost soul with whom he has a brief fling and later gains a child from nine months down the line on his doorstep. I really just want Jay to get his big waterfall effect of stories- similar to Denise last year, but written much more seamlessly and in a way that doesn't make us all hate him.

The revival of the NotSlater unit has been a joy to watch. I also love the Stuart storyline. We haven’t seen anything quite like it before so I love the unpredictability. |

This episode provided the Slaters are the best family in the show.

SCREAM. Anyone else notice that they (poorly) photoshopped Big Mo into that picture of the Slaters in 2000 and replaced Garry?

Imagine if they'd have Photoshopped a 12 year old Stacey in as well. I'd howl. |
