I suppose Friday’s episode will be the one which is intercut with the documentary about the real life knife crime victims? I’d have liked the episode to be a bit longer if so, so we were still getting the thirty minutes of EE as well as the real life segments. |

Monday 2nd July 2018 Rainie warns Max that they need to up their game in order to appear more convincing as a 'couple'. She arranges a meal for her, Max, Jack and Mel, but Max feels like she's going overboard and isn't impressed. Later, when Jack and Mel head upstairs to give them some space, Rainie shocks Max by kissing him. Meanwhile, Carmel is excited for the first night of the youth club, but she gets sidetracked when she hears how much Keegan is struggling after the stabbing incident. Carmel heads over to see Keegan, but he reacts badly to her support – claiming that she's using the youth club as a distraction but it won't bring Shakil back. Elsewhere, Jean discovers that Hayley has been using Charlie's taxi without a license to make some extra money. Thursday 5th July 2018 (Episode 1) Donna is shocked when she finds out that Martin and Stacey have given Max a reference for custody of baby Abi. After rebuking Martin for his involvement, Donna turns on Rainie and questions whether she's really fit to look after a child. Rainie retaliates by stealing cigarettes from the Minute Mart, planting them on Donna's stall and reporting her, landing her in trouble with Mr Lister. Later, Max defends Rainie when Donna confronts her over the set-up, but he's livid over what she's done. Max warns Rainie that she won't get a penny if she makes another mistake that could jeopardise his chances of getting baby Abi. Meanwhile, Carmel continues to concentrate on the youth club rather than making plans for Shakil's funeral. When Carmel overhears Hayley criticising her efforts with the club, she questions her negative attitude. Elsewhere, Jean takes the cab keys to stop Hayley from continuing with her secret scheme. Staying one step ahead, Hayley infuriates Jean by taking the keys back. |

Thursday 5th July 2018 (Episode 2) Hayley steals cash from Carmel, who's approached her wanting help with a worrying idea. Hayley immediately regrets her actions and tries to give the money back to Carmel, pretending that it had dropped to the floor. Later on, Keegan confronts Carmel again, questioning why she's still avoiding getting involved with Shakil's funeral. Carmel hits back with some harsh words towards Keegan. Soon afterwards, Carmel heads to see Jay at the funeral parlour. Much to Jay's shock, Carmel insists that nobody is welcome at the funeral as she just wants it to be her and Shakil. Meanwhile, Kush tells Denise that he's disappointed with Carmel's attitude towards the funeral. Friday 6th July 2018 Shakil's funeral day has arrived and Kush tells Jay that the original plans for the service will be going ahead, despite Carmel's decision yesterday. Carmel is now refusing to attend, despite pleas from Kush, and she later goes missing just as everyone is due to leave. While everyone else heads off to the church, Denise tries to track down Carmel. Can she convince her to attend? |

Carmel's disappearance right before the funeral has to serve some form of narrative purpose. I'm hopeful she'll attend a support group and that's how the real life stories are weaved into the show and, having gained strength from the stories of others, Carmel makes it to the service in time to say goodnight to her child? |

That sounds decent. Fingers crossed it's this and we don't cut to real-life people walking on and sitting in front of white backgrounds with their names on the screen before randomly cutting to Denise finding Carmel at the swings or something. |
