I get more and more excited by all of this by the day. EastEnders being brilliant from September to December is one of those things that just feels right.

Autumn predictions from psychic Dave:
1. Kat will find out that Hayley is expecting Alfie's child and slap her
2. Rainie will have a drugs relapse
3. Denny will remove his cloak of invisibility and do something evil
4. Someone will notice Dot's absence
5. Sonia will remember she's a lesbian
6. Masood and Kathy will start an affair behind Ian's back

Both Denny and Ricky seem to have totally disappeared. Maybe they'll return in Autumn played by 20 year olds with rippling six packs after being SORASd.

News just in: Sacked Corrie star Katie Redford is in contention to play 8 year old Ricky.

I just had a thought.

Max and Rainie's storyline- revolving around getting baby Abi- began in a week that saw baby Harley abducted in a short, if dramatic, storyline. With more details about Rainie's desperation for a baby slowly spilling out, what if the story of their initial return week was meant to be subtle foreshadowing for the fact that Rainie herself is eventually set to abduct baby Abi and run away with her? With the writing so spot on and subtle since the spring, I honestly feel this could be a possibility- and how exciting if this is indeed the case. It would ascend this rather run-of-the-mill custody battle plot to new levels and really extend Max's ongoing comeuppance as well as add new layers to his character. Opens up a return for Tanya and Lauren in the future too- maybe even Steven if they dared to go there and make our dreams come true, an irony considering Steven himself was kidnapped by Cindy as a baby.

Here for this as part of our blockbuster autumn, though of course I may be wrong.

I wonder if Ray met Alfie and Kat in Redwater. It could be a good way for John Yorke to put his own twist on the spin off. He could be Alfie's friend maybe.
Not every Irish character need be related to the rest. Every time a character representing any minority or different nationality joins there are always suggestions that they have to be somehow linked to other characters who tick the same box. It is a very narrow minded viewpoint.

Red Rock's Sean Mahon will be playing Ray Kelly. :)

How exciting!!!

Hmm Ray KELLY.... generic Irish surname or relation to Redwater's Andrew Kelly?

Please DEAR GOD be better than Aidan.

He was absolutely brilliant in what I saw of Red Rock. Very layered and subtle performances.

Also worth noting, his character was involved with an underage girl. Not that it means much, but another hint at what's to come with him and Hunter?

An exciting casting.
