Apparently giant tortoises are so tasty, that people didn't get round to giving them scientific names and classifying them for centuries because they wouldn't last the sea voyage home before being eaten by the crew. Some people have no restraint, and science suffers. Oh, and tortoises too. It's funny, cause if you ask people nowadays, most would probably prefer fast food. |

Fast food.....or tortoises...... Though I suppose I should give tortoises the benefit of doubt, since I haven't ever tried them....Devourer of books works very well.

i think it's pretty much illegal to try them, anyway XD protected an all that though, i'm sure a hare might be reasonable :> Aesop twist...tortoise and the hare, which will be eaten first?! |

Rabbit's okay. I wouldn't mind having rattlesnake again /repeat tangential plug I don't understand the appeal of snails. They're rubbery 'n you have to chew forever (not to mention having almost no flavor to speak of). |

that's why they coat them with garlic quite frankly, though they are revered as delicacies these days, i think the origin of escargot and frog legs is from people having little to nothing to eat...and so they got what they could find and smothered it in other flavors to make it easier to swallow cuz it's all they had to eat |
