If you were a fan, maybe you could cool yourself ;)

I'm almost at the point of wishing for that, if it will take away the rain. We have had almost constant rain here for a full week. :ermm: I am starting to feel decidedly waterlogged just from watching it rain (and the awful humidity).

I'd trade you, especially now that I don't have a paper route any more. That's the one saving grace about this area - it's dry, so even blazing hot a bit of water still feels cool.

Fans just move air around towr. Swirling 100º air around doesn't make it colder. Though the weather seems to have been a little milder today, finally.

Unless you're suffering from 100% humidity, swirling air around helps evaporation, and thereby helps you cool off (assuming you're not one of the very few people unable to sweat).

Elys, heat doesn't mean dry...if you're having that much rain and you couple the heat at 100 degrees F with 90% humidity, you will feel even worse, not better :/

we've had nearly 100s with such high humidity...might as well be held in a pot of boiling water and try to breathe

Muggy is never fun.

But! I got to play host to a 'key witness' hiding in the back of my car while a drug bust went down in the next town over last night/this morning. And I'd just been asked over to help move furniture....

Heck of a way to spend the morning of the fourth.

Helped pack her and her kids stuff onto her brother's trailer after I got up later that morning.

But I would call getting away from an abusive relationship after lotsa years a pretty good way of commemorating the Fourth and the ideals it carries.

Glad you got to enjoy the fireworks Elys. Heard 'em just fine ;)

Yay for flash storms. >.<
We went camping this weekend- which was really nice, discounting the heat, except for Sunday afternoon. A flash storm came through and flipped the pavilion onto mine and Shadow's tent....which was also on a low spot and ended up sitting in a half-foot-deep puddle of water. Thankfully, we got the pavilion off before too much water came in, so most of the stuff inside didn't get much more than damp, but we decided we didn't really want to try sleeping in it, and headed home that afternoon (as opposed to this morning, when we had originally planned on leaving). :ermm:

Got a little ran the last two nights, but not much.

Enough to dance in for a minute though, which was surprisingly fun in the warm night.

It's been unseasonably humid all summer here so far.
But that means there's still more green than usual so it's a little prittier around.

Well, that's one good thing at least.

And the blueberries are in season now, so we went blueberry-picking this week. ^_^ Yum yum.
