Mmm....Helping to put together a new feature for the website (timeline of religious history in America), some publicity stuff (finding and emailing places that might be interested in using what we have- it's a religion data archive), and anything else that comes up that they might want me to do.

Interesting.
I recently read a book on the "apocalypse meme" and it also had some bits about various doomsday cults in the US (as well as the rest of the world). Like the Millerite movement, and their Great Disappointment when they got the date wrong.
You'd think it's not the end of the world, when it's quite literally not the end of the world, but apparently some people look forward to it.

Ehhh.... I just disappeared for two weeks. XD Oops.

My sister has gotten me addicted to Skyrim- very fun game, but it's almost as much of a black hole as TVTropes. So many quests... must complete them all...

Also, I like your new avatar, towr. ^_^ Is that a guitar case she's holding?

Yes, two even, one on her back, and one in her arms.

Yay, fanservice! (And fortunately, the cool kind.)

But I' afraid it's taking a long time for the breeze from that fan to reach here. Maybe you could turn it up a bit?
Actually, given the typical fan-speed and the distance between our locations, I'm afraid it'll take weeks for the breeze to reach here. :(

Sad day!

Well, I'm sorry. it's been more than the usual too hot around here, but just this morning it decided to once again defy all reason and RAIN. In the high desert. In July. 0.o

Nice to see folks still about, and sorry I've been silent so long. I could once again blame being now 23 days from being married!!!! :o :o ;) :o :o :D :o :'( :o
But really, I just felt bad with each day for not getting on, and awkward so then I'd feel even worse about finally saying something and it just sorta snowballed. I have this issue with people's impressions of me - I always assume the worst. :/

ANYWHO, how's tricks?
I've been writing up a minor storm, which is nice, and otherwise causing trouble for my D&D group ^__^ (I'm pretty happy with my campaign I made, AND how it's going so far).

Well, towr, if i get a few more fans (larger ones) and crank 'em all to max, maybe it'll get there sooner :D

and...Dark! long time no see! :O still preparing for the best time of your life? I'm excited for you, you'll have to bring her on over some day so we can send her congratulations in person hehe :D
i may be there some day in the not too distant future o.o finally met him in person so things are looking up ;>w> circumstances still need better coordinating >:Y time is a meanie sometimes

glad yer getting some rain there...even if it's hot rain (hopefully doesn't get humid or that'd suck D: heat with humidity is the worst), i hear that side of the country been plagued with some bad droughts so a little water should hopefully help some
we got a lotta storms around here, though been pretty tame these past few days (and therefore hotter again lol)

and yay writing! i'm still being chicken with mine...touched it recently to add plot notes, but not brave enough to turn it into paragraphs >.<;

I have an apparently odd writing style. I've been trying to put in hours/day of writing, but the only way I do that effectively is if I jump back and forth between multiple stories.

And unfortunately it's California been needing rain. Our neck of the woods has gotten more rain this spring and summer than it seems we used to get in a year.

Also thanks! We signed the lease on our apartment we'll have once we get back from festivities - craziness. I don't feel adult enough to be all adulting like this.

haha, i actually have a similar method...i have to be doing something else while i write, otherwise i can't concentrate on it (preferably like to talk to people...sometimes complaining about my tasks helps me to complete them)

Yeah Cali ;-; i moved from there just before it all started getting bad...i wish people would spend more time worrying about building pipes that drain water from overly flooded areas to dry areas in need rather than oil pipelines :Y but greed makes the world go 'round? lol

i hear ya...i should have been finding a job by now, myself, but in some ways i still feel too kid to handle all that'd go into it (despite my mindset to be responsible her things, but about it, i'm dreading it...glad i got extra time by being needed in other things, but it's kinda frustrating being stuck with that even though i had the mindset to get started being a real adult by now Dx a lot of back n forth mixed feelings)

hope you have a smooth transition, though :O gonna have a life now, so exciting :>

Maybe if you moved back that would fix things? Post hoc, ergo propter hoc; right?
