Merry Christmas (slightly belated) and Happy New Year! ![]() Honestly, that's kinda what I'm doing right now- just ignoring all the political news right now. It's not like it'll make any difference whether I see it or not, and a quarter of it is just misrepresentation or outright lies anyway, so it's better to just not bother.

I think that comic, towr, sums most of my feeling about a lot of this year quite well. |

I also just realized I won't know what to do with myself if I ever check back here and the word association thread had stopped. |

Yeah, I think that would be the official end of this forum. It's not much, but it's the ping keeping our connection alive

'tis true, 'tis true. It would be weird if that happened. Any plans for New Year's? (though, thinking about it, it's already New Year's where Dark is, isn't it?) |

We just went to bed at the usual time... Though now everywhere around us is gearing up for the Lunar New Year (EVERYTHING is red. I mean EVERYthing). We even got "红包" when we ordered a meal at Subway yesterday. |

Stupid Pennsylvania weather... It was mid-50s and the crocuses were blooming less than a week ago, and now there's half a foot of snow on the ground (when the wind will let it stay there). Spring comes after winter, you know...

Maybe mother nature was rearranging seasons alphabetically, then winter comes after spring. Though there should've been a bit of summer in between then ... |

Aagh- I forgot about the April Fools Day bugs. Nearly gave me a heart attack when the screen loaded full of flies and spiders.

Haha. I really ought to replace that with something new (and, like, yearly), but apparently it still works

Hoi! Back from Taiwan for months now, probably graduated? (I really, really need to check with my advisor on that. It was a question of one credit one way or the other and graduation was like 2-3 weeks ago...) Working part-time (would be two jobs but the second job HR said the first job guys were a 'direct competitor' so I couldn't keep both XP). Finally probably summer (we had snow last week) around here. How is everybody? |

Hey! It's pretty summery here.. I don't like this heat, frankly; 26C/80F is a bit more than I like. And apparently wasps are already all the rage. Had half a dozen in the attic (queens judging by the size and time of year). Most had already died failing to fly through the closed windows, though; I only had to kill two. What I'm wondering is how they're getting into my attic. The news is also predicting lots of wasp this year (thanks to a soft winter). I'm also wondering why I keep trying to write attic as attack. |

Hi! I wish it was a little warmer here- clouds and rain have been keeping it not-quite-chilly. Sun would be nice. Aside from that, though, I'm doing pretty well. I've started looking to buy a car, too. towr: I feel you on the wasps. Somehow they always manage to build nests in our shed every year, and it's annoying. |

Went camping this weekend, and got to see a snake eating a squirrel. It's actually kinda fascinating to see a snake swallowing something that's three times as wide as its head (took it almost an hour, though)
