One last thing, towr...I don't have a lot of faith in 'science' because of two things...

1) Science can never 'prove' anything. It can only provide evidence for an argument.
Only math/logic can prove anything, that's not really a fault of science. Evidence based assertions are better than free-floating ones.

2) Modern science believes in evolution - which isn't exactly supported by the vast majority of the evidence.
I'm sure you won't be the least bit surprised that I strongly disagree with that assertion, and in fact support the opposite one: that the vast majority of evidence does support evolutionary theory.
But that would be a worse argument to get started on than the previous one.
I don't believe that logic can prove anything either, but I do believe math can...but I agree with you that evidence-based assertions are better than unsupported ones. Logic is helpful, but not overweening.

I take it we'll just agree to disagree on evolution, then?

I think I should perhaps clarify that I meant formal logic, which like maths consist of things that are true by definition within a system of axioms. The distinction between maths and logic in this sense is small. Logicians claim maths is a branch of logic, and mathematicians claim logic is a branch of mathematics.

I agree that what passes for logic in common vernacular doesn't prove anything. Too much of reality is unknown to make (interesting) logical inference about it. If I say it's raining and that I don't have an umbrella, one might think the logical conclusion is that therefore I'll get wet. But I might stay at home, or travel by car.

A very nice clarification; I commend your use of words. *toasts with sparkling pear cider* And by the way, I agree. ;)

I like using logic to prove things...and it annoys my older brother so much :P I probably have too much fun doing it... ^_^

Magician's Quest!! I love Animator Lily!! She is such a nice woman.

The dragon eggs is a little website where you get a dragon egg and then you get other people to click on your egg to get the dragon to 'hatch' and then people keep clicking so your dragon will 'grow up'. It's just another little game floating around the net.

Yep, Windows XP.
I don't like XP - it was great while it lasted, but I've moved on to bigger and better things. Huh, my Vista SP1 can do more than XP Pro ever could...
