Brightly Burning is the only one I remember off-hand. I only read a couple others of them, anyway and that was ... a while ago.

.... the ending of that one made me cry :'(

seriously though? I haven't read any of them for a while too (a while being.... half a year or so) I've been way to buisy reading the Ranger's Apprentice series. (just finished book 9! Can't wait for the 10th to come out!). Well that, and I'm reading The Count of Monte Cristo for english, and it's not exactly an easy read. It's good, just kinda slow reading.

That one actually made it as one of my favorites, the other ones being Exile's Honor and The Mage Storms trilogy.

I enjoyed it.

And let's just say your "a while" and mine are... Different. XP

Count of MonteCristo? Haven't actually read it, though I am familiar with it. Lately when I haven't been reading Jim Butcher it's been the "secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel" ... or my little sister trying to get me to finish the Percy Jackson books.

Ba-ha-ha. My little sister is trying to get me to do the same. I haven't had much time, but I admit part of my procrastination is deliberate - watching her go go nuts as I read one page a week is far too much fun.

I enjoyed it as well, it's just the ending was sad (though... I actually kinda like stories that make me cry, it means it's good enough to get me feeling what the character's feel)

Hehe.... I also have a friend who wants me to read the Percy Jackson series...

I'm getting around to that series- as soon as the library has book one checked in... :ermm:

Right now I'm finishing the Prydain Chronicles (currently reading The High King) and starting His Dark Materials trilogy (I think that's what it's called- just finished The Golden Compass).
......and in the middle of The Children of Hurin, Magic's Promise, and something else (I'm blanking on the name). :sweatdrop: I have problems sticking to just one book.

I know how that is. Used to have that problem something fierce... Now I have a hard time picking up new books - because endings tend to stick with me so if the ending is crappy, it starts to negatively affect my dealings with the 'outside' world. Which is, frankly, sad. But there it is (I blame my torturously good memory for things I've read).

Can't you reserve books at your library?

I somewhat know that feeling. Though it's not just the endings that do me in. I once had to read a book for a course and after a few pages I simply refused to read any more of it because I knew it would disturb my mental state too much.

Yeah, I hear you. It's rare I find something dense enough to shift my mental patterns, but Ender's Game and Piercing The Darkness would both be prime examples.

Unfortunately what disturbs me also fascinates me, as well. =_= Anyone else?

Unfortunately, yes. With my imagination, it doesn't take much to fascinate me or get me thinking on things.

I could reserve it, but there's so many other books I want to read as well, it just doesn't seem worth it to bother yet.

Wah!! I like Ender's Game! (in fact... I wrote an essay and did a presentation on it for my summer english project).
And... most things are fascinating to me if I look at them right.
