Stupid Stupid STUPIDHEAD *LoL*

Yes...but you mentioned wine as well...
I said I ASKED - not mentioned. And you never answered.

@Everyone else: Being drunk isn't overrated in the LEAST if you're going through a truckload of shit. Just sayin'. Think of being drunk with a lot on your mind and a lot of hurt in your once still beating heart as trying to run as fast as you can in knee deep water - it slows you down. Most people (not counting the idiots) don't drink it for the taste - they do because it numbs the pain. And at that point your greatest HOPE is permanent damage resulting in death - so that aspect is not a deterrent AT ALL.

Who drinks illegally here, Jason?

And the 'Sam Adams' comment by me was about what, then? Talk about BLIND...can't you read?
REALLY CLK

Yes it is. You're a fool if you think that trying to drown your troubles in drink will help. It does damage to your body, alcohol is a serious depressant that will end up only making you feel worse, and to top it all off, it impairs your judgment. Why the HELL would anyone want to do that?
Still Completely Blind

I didn't say anyone did. I said I was against it.

NOTE: The 'fool' comment is not targeted specifically at anyone on these forums. I just realized I made it a little too general, sorry for any misunderstanding.

Ah - I didn't see it. But in answer to it - Sam Adams SUCKS - that's why you don't like beer. Guinness - try that and get back to Me. :pirate:

*points to previous post* Why the hell WOULDN'T they? (I'm not being hostile, just so you know beforehand) Because no one CARES about anything like that when they're that desperate. In sane condition (such as us at the moment) yeah, getting drunk looks stupid. A person quite close to snapping - it looks like the only escape. 'Course you think that drowning your troubles wouldn't help NOW, but if you're in the need to drown them it looks pretty darn good.

"Drinking too much could kill you!"
"Consider it a bonus."

It's not far-fetched when you're in that much turmoil.

Sorry, but I inherited Dad's taste buds as well...and he loves Sam Adams. So if I weren't a supertaster, that would taste good to me.

He thinks the same about Guinness as you do about Sam Adams, too...

If there's one thing I'm extremely familiar with, it's depression. And not once have I ever had the inclination to do extra harm to my body. No rational person would - not even a depressed rational person. I don't care who you are, or what you're feeling - it's never worth it because of the damage it can and does do. There's no excuse.

*small smile* I agree with you. I'm saying this from a secular point of view. A CHRISTIAN depressed irrational person still has a sense of their faith and conscious intact, so they don't go to extremes. And you may sing a different song down the line. I wasn't a Christian, I in fact hated them, and the carpet got yanked pretty hard. There may not be an excuse, but you don't give a flying fig after a point. You're right. I know this. I'm just saying while it's not right, you need to cut the miserable drunks some slack. They're not as fortunate as you are to have faith.

(Also, before you wonder, I did not go very far off the deep end in getting drunk. Just once. And thank God for my faithful older brother to stop me from doing it again - because all I remember was not being able to remember and being able to smile, and all I wanted was to do it again.)

Look, I'm not going to beat someone up while they're drunk - especially not if they're a Christian - but afterward? If you're not a Christian, then I'll go easy on you. If you ARE? You'd better have padding. I'll slap you silly - in brotherly Christian love, of course - for doing it.

Despite all evidence to the contrary, I DO know how to be diplomatic - in person. I don't bother on the 'Net ('cause no one here knows who I really am anyways).

Doing it once I might brush off as a mistake. Twice, and you're asking for it...

I guess all those Christians drinking themselves to death must not be real Christians after all.
But then I guess many "Christians" don't act very Christian-like, unfortunately.

Don't worry about it. I had to go and get myself converted so it's not an option anymore. >_>

Unless they've truly snapped, no, they're not. But if they've snapped that's a different story - the nicest ones always snap the hardest.

i wouldn't do that...why make others feel inferior? that isn't christian at all...and then others begin to think that all christians are braggards because of those few morons ^o)
