You need to read... At least the first two of these books. I believe "Dealing with Dragons" is book one (if you don't get "The Enchanted Forest Chronicles" one-volume thing) and "Searching for Dragons" is the second.
"Dealing with Dragons" especially. The main character (Cimorene) has a lot in common with you, Me. ;)
Ah! Now that rings a bell! I've seen those books before but never paid much attention to them! :) I wonder if they're on book on cd. It's nice reading but it's also nice being read too while doing the chores...or beading in my case. ;)

Yay, Kari! :highfive: Let's! (Though, not really, since we'd have nothing to scream about - and I refuse to blend in with fangirls of any sort for an excuse.) Screaming when not in major danger or in severe pain is in the Top Ten Everyday Family Rules of no's - and even when there have been broken bones, fingernails ripped off, stitches and severed fingers, none of us over single digits screamed. Grinding teeth/growling while attempting to breathe and not swear, yes - screaming no. It'd be pretty weird just to make... noise like that.

(I'm never sure if being told I'm similar to someone is good or not) is We'll see, Dark. I'm think of trying to take up my drawing this summer again while listening to psychology lectures to make it productive - but like Feyna said I might put a book on tape in the background.^_^

EDIT: Oh wow, I just realized I said 'book on tape'...

That's actually a good way to read 'em too, if you have a good reader. I read the whole series to my little sister as bedtime stories. ... You'll have to ask her how I did though (yeah, you try getting different voices for like 50 dragons and keeping them straight through basically cameos across four books)

I do voice acting for fun. ^_- I know what you mean. I can get about 10 different adult female and 8 different adult male voices before I have to start being creative with accents and stuff. Never 50.

I actually started by reading her later books written with her son, and am just now going back to earlier ones.

THe one's with Todd McCaffery as co-author were good as was Dragonflight (the first she wrote), that I read. And my mom has read just about all of them and liked 'em.

I loved Wrede's The enchented Forest Chronicles. I've read the first of the Pern books- Dragonflight? I'll probably read the rest of them eventually- they're a bit far down the reading list, which coincidentally is topped by the Ranger's Apprentice books (Kari :ninja:  ) that I haven't read yet (5,6,7...).

After reading the third book, you might go with something else first.

Like Timothy Zahn's Dragonback novels - should be able to read those now if you can find 'em. First is called "Dragon and Thief" and they are AWEsome YA fiction

Ha. HA. Very slowly, too. And it's not a book, dearie - remember? It was intended to be a webcomic script.

Better progress that anything else. I think I may average a chapter a week! EPIC for my time frames.

There are no pictures. It is a book.
