It's a book! Reader says so.

.. Why don't we put a pin it it, <puts pin in it> and come back to this in, oh, say ten years.

I just finished Sorcerer of the North and The Seige of Mackindaw. Now to start Inkheart- or the Castle of Llyr.
Inkheart is pretty good. Castle of Llyr...is that a Lloyd Alexander?

Yep. I read The Book of Three and The black Cauldron a while ago, but that one was checked out for a while.

Going off topic ;) ,anyone else have PSSAs, or whatever their state equivalent, this week?

Ah, gotcha. My sister Louise is big into Lloyd Alexander. One of the few fiction stories she reads (between that and Chronicles of Narnia).

I see. I'm not that big into him, but the books were good enough that now I have to finish reading the series.

Have to? You feel an obligation to do something which is not actually required?

They're books, and they're good books, so yes. Books are like magnets- I can't stay away. Seriously. I've tried, and it doesn't work. :$

Oh, no, I understand how you feel. There are only a certain few books that I've actually been eager to put down.

Yes, unfortunately for me, most of them have been required reading for school. ^o)

Of course. Teachers tend to think that the best possible literature is the most boring thing that can possible cooked up. Instead of Tom Sawyer, of course. I can't tell you how many times I've pulled the 'white-washing the fence' trick on other people.

"We hold recess in the foyer
And then we read Tom Sawyer
Our nine-year-old's a lawyer
A homeschool family."

Naturally you can't tell us. 'Cause you never have. :P

I'm getting into reading (er listening to book on tape) Terry Brooks Shannara series. Finished the Sword of Shannara and now on to The elfstones of Shannra.

I'm also looking for The Dark Crystal by A.C.H. Smith (I got his other book The Labyrinth a lucky find at a Goodwill) B)

Is this the "Dark Crystal" on which the film was based? Cuz I liked that movie. I'm in the midst of yet another Dick Francis novel - 'Second Wind' I think? (something Wind, anyway) - currently.

And I read the first half of the Percy Jackson series and liked them all right.
