I just finished the Pellinor series- I can't remember who by. A little odd in some places, but I liked it. Currently reading The Magestone, by Andre Norten.

Did you like the Sword of Shannara, Feyna? That and Elfstones are his two best Shannara books ever, I think. B)

I can't make past 4 books in any of Brooks Series'. Shannara I was good for three, Landover... four, and The Knight of the Word set was a trilogy - all very good that far, though.

You're not missing much, at least not Shannarawise, I think. Sword and Elfstones were good. Wishsong and First King (prequel) were okay. But after that, his plot got rather repetetive. His next three series -The Heritage of Shannara, The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara, and High Druid of Shannara- I didn't like so much. Although the Genesis of Shannara series was okay. You might like them. I think, from refrences in the series and descriptions of the Word and Void trilogy, that those two tie together (same world).

Yeah, The whole "Knight of the Word" trilogy leads straight into "Genesis of Shannara" which brings you to "The Sword of Shannara." That's actually part of why I Haven't read the "Genesis" books - "Knight of the Word" was dark enough, thanks.
I do recommend reading "Magic Kingdom for Sale SOLD!" though not necessarily any of the further Landover books.

They were a little dark, but they had a good ending. And now there's a new series-
Legends of Shannara- That happens after Genesis. The first book- Bearers of the Black Staff- is out.

The Sword of Shannara I felt could of been better but I did like the second book the Elfstones of Shannara. I'm going to listen to the Wishsongs of Shannara and see if I can get the first Landover book. Once I finish the Dark Crystal -yes I finally found the book!

Oh, yeah I’ve heard that there's going to be a Elfstones of Shannara movie and I also learned that there was a game (put out in 1995) based off of the books. ^^

Seriously- a movie? That would be awesome, I think. Never heard of a game based off it either- what kind of game?

I'm gonna have to wait till December to read the first Landover book and the rest of the Amber Chronicles. Not so much impressed with adult fiction section at my current library.

The game was sort of an RPG-puzzler. Pacing was kinda sluggish and I didn't get very far before finding something else to play

To each his or her own, that's all I can say. *shrug* I also finished that prequel novel...New Spring, I think it's called? - in only a couple hours, so, fun day.

It's on my reading list for 'someday'. I got about halfway through the first books, I don't currently have access to them. (Library doesn't have book one). My brother has the whole series (so far) but they are half the state to the north. :-/

Another fast reader? Although I don't think I'm quite that fast (I get distracted easily).

Plug into Epica's "Classical Conspiracy" and go...yeah, I speed-read. The trick is just absorbing everything quickly, then thinking about it later. I must admit, though - a few times I couldn't read for the laughter.
